England Player of the Year award shortlist

Ashley Cole, Steven Gerrard, Joe Hart, Glen Johnson and Danny Welbeck were all selected by a combination of a fans’ vote and a panel of experts. The winner will be decided by a final vote.

What you guys think?

Nobody on that list really stands out. Grace Jones being there makes it even more ridiculous

Shocking how Kyle Walker or Defoe aren't there while Lolbeck and Serena Williams feature.

But that's FA for you. The institution that appoint Roy instead of a much more qualified candidate (cough)

Cole is the most deserving player on the list and the only other person that comes close is Hart. The rest of them can do one.

Out of that list, Hart deserves it the most. But the fact that Rooney is not on it is laughable.

it's a player of the YEAR award, Rooney aside from Valencia last season was our best player, still is the most influential and important player in the team.

I agree, even though I'm not really a Hart fan, but then he had some really good days especially in the CL and it was by no means his fault that ManCity went out.
