You can't blame Brazil Empty You can't blame Brazil

Post by rsinatra Sun Jul 03, 2011 10:14 pm

I can see that someone already has created a thread about Ganso. It's so silly.

1 - This is the second time Ganso plays for Brazil. The first was in August last year, before his 7-month injury. Not to mention that he's returned from a 6-week injury, and had only played one match since. He's not 100%, plus he's basically never played with those guys before except for Neymar and Robinho.

2 - This is the first time Brazil plays with that formation and those players since August as well. Pato has been injured, etc.

3 - Pato is not a natural 9. He can become a very good one, but he is not it yet. This has been clear from the beginning. Brazil do not have a true, natural, world class striker as of now.

4 - Venezuela are better than Bolivia, Albania, Argentina, and Spain. LOL jk.

What can I say? It's true. In the past 7, 8 months Brazil have been trying out different number 10's because of Ganso's absence, and different 9's because of Pato's absence. We haven't had time to train yet. It's not an excuse, I know that we should've won this match no matter what, I can assure you non-Brazilians I'm a thousand times more disappointed than you guys. I bet the entire Copenhagen could hear my frustration. But it's the truth. There's a very good football journalist in Brazil that has been saying for the past 6 months that "we can't expect anything from Brazil until perhaps our 2nd or 3rd match at the Copa América." Period.

5. Venezuela are actually a decent side now. Fact.

Also, blaming everything on Ganso isn't right. It's not like Brazil have a shortage of quality. You could have changed formations, varied players etc.

You cant really use Pato's injuries as an excuse

He's always injured. Always. You've had months to come up with a backup and all you picked Fred? bounce

Seriously, I have been taking your criticism well. But you can't be serious about Marcelo. He would've done NO BETTER. It's like saying Brazil didn't win the World Cup because Ronaldo wasn't there. FFS

That's true. It's not just Ganso. The whole team lacked chemistry. That was actually expected. This is not FIFA 11. Players take time to get to know each other.

Wait, did you actually read my post? Because if you had you would've read what I said. We have no true world class number 9. Period. Figure out what I mean yourself.

No, He would have provided that little bit of spark in attack which you clearly seemed to lack. I dont know want andre santos is doing there.

Is brazil going to attack or defend? my bet is that you want to attack, so marcelo would have been the man. He takes on defense and gets inside the box.

there were no structure up top, no creativity at all, surprisingly.

I do think Marcelo would have been good for this match, although you don't have much left of your defense if you play both Alves and Marcelo on the sides.

jesus christ, you guys deserve a slap on the butt.

really?

because neymar is n't a good dribbler?
robinho isnt a good dribbler?
ganso isnt a good dribbler?

we had enough good dribblers there. this is not why we didn't win. it's the lack of chemistry. RM fanboys.

Nah i dont play fifa 11.

tactically they were terrible, you cant just put it all on the account that they havent played together in a while. the players were not only restricted in their role, but they underperformed as well.

He can break defenses on physique alone, weird as hell to snub him. You can't have all these pretty, frail "dribblers" all the time, sometimes you need a battering ram Very Happy

Let's remember this, Brazil were beaten by Honduras in 2001.

Then we went on to be WC champions in 2002.
