Possibly because there is no transfer speculation between Didier Drogba and "Galatasary".

Few reasons.
1. It has just happened.
2. We have a transfer rumors and confirmed transfers thread for discussion of transfers.
Main reason we don't have loads of transfer threads all over the place.

The club's correctly spelled name is "Galatasaray", if you did not understand my first post. I should have made it clearer.

Re: Drogba to Galatasary
Fair enough and the above poster not knowing about it sort of illustrates my first point it has only just broken.....
Anyway i'm interested to see how this pans out....
Drogba and Sneijder should be a very potent partnership in theory but Sneijder has hardly played and Drogba has been in China for 7 months.
Interesting transfers for Galatasaray anyway i wonder how well they will do in the CL.
Also.... If CIV get to the final of the ACoN then Drogba will only have like a week before they play Schalke. Not great time for him to get into the swing of things.

Re: Drogba to Galatasary
I wonder how motivated Drogba will be as his last 2 seasons at Chelsea he became lazy and only really tried his best in the big games.
Drogba and Sneijder join Galatasaray.....Holtby leaves Shalke added to the fact that Shalke have been in poor form recently.
worms thinks Galatasaray will do them.

Typo big deal. Schalke got a new coach and hasn't been playing good so it will be an interesting match.

Re: Drogba to Galatasary
Doesn't Elmander still play there too?
And I remember they had Muslera, Eboue, Baros, and Ujfalusi

Re: Drogba to Galatasary
They have a good team.
Stong balanced midfield - quality forwards (though to me Drogba is a bit unnecessary here. Yilmaz is good enough , Elmander is a better fit alongside him. They don't have wide players to get the best out of Drogba, but Sneijder and Secluk will provide service).
Defense is solid though clearly not their strong point. Improving it will be difficult because class defenders don't really go around. If you have solid, that's usually pretty adequate.

You do know Drogba doesn't rely on crosses right? He isn't a one dimensional player like Falcao.
Great signing by Gala.

He's old and slow. Even prime Drogba I would argue ain't exactly what they need. Yilmaz is good, he can finish, he runs off the ball well. I think someone who can play a freer role, move into different channels would be a better fit.

Re: Drogba to Galatasary
He was brought in solely for CL games though. Yilmaz is very good but Drogba is one of the all time most clutch footballers.
