PSG score with this time from Lavezzi!

Lucas' shot from the far right couldn't be kept within the hands of Landreau as his save from Lucas' shot results in excellent instinct from Lavezzi to tap it in

couldn't have been lucas as he was the one who was subbed out for lavezzi eco smile

I know exactly where valencia will attack psg if they have done their homework. maxwell s wing bastia seemed to attack there altho dispossed when holding the ball for too long

as for the penalty it was slightly outside the penalty box psg alittle fprtunate with that one. lucas played really well I thought so did menez later on

Matuidi, Sakho, Lavezzi, Ibra and Jallet were all on the bench. This was the PSG B team. There's absolutely nothing Valencia can take away from this... especially since Matuidi covers Maxwell like a champ and Jallet is 1000000x the player VdW is.

valencia have troubled better teams on the wings. not sure psg can withstand that

also matuidi played for the better part of the second half didn't watch the first. bastia stil troubled maxwell also bastia are 16th and they did imagine valencia

@arq, I don't think verati had a good second half imho bastia had no trouble getting past the midfield after psg score but probably because they shifted to second gear by then

matuidi came on in the 71st minute for Pastore. The big thing is that Armand, who only played his 2nd game as a CB in his career, was covering behin Maxwell. Tht's not going to happen again. Sakho will be there. only time maxwell had a problem once matuidi came in was when thauvin got past him late and armand was nowhere.

and valencia is not as good as lyon on the wings... not close. You had Michel bastos, lisandro and lacazette with umtiti and reveillere s the fullbacks there. Very good wide team. PSG completely neutralied them.

watch plenty of valencia. They suck defensively and won't even hve soldado since he's injured. They have to hope that they score at least 3 goals on psg and only give up 1. they definitely will not score 3 and i doubt they can hold that attack to 1.

somebody start a valencia vs psg thread man

valencia will sit back and really harrass the psg midfielders. don't know if pereira is fit but if he is you can bank on valencia getting past the wings with ease also cissokho on the other side will be great going forward. the only think thats missing with him is the final third pass. soldado injured is a big blow but they still have nelson valdez who scored the winning header in the weekend.

also don't you compare lyon to valencia. valencia play totally different alot more technique and one touch passing only inferior to barca. banega is back as well you can bank on valencia winning the midfield battle

EDIT: no news suggesting soldado injured he finished the game against celta vigo

Cissokho was complete dog shat with Lyon lol. He was destroyed continuously his last 2 years there and they basically did a salary dump of him. Umtiti is light years better... besides, Cissokho is hurt too.

Soldado must have come back because he was definitely injured. It was the return game of CDR against Madrid and he didn't play.

We'll see.

You know i'm going to troll the daylights out of you after PSG destroy Valencia lol.

Hala the thing is since Carletto changed his formation into a 4-4-1-1, Paris have had little trouble dealing with the fiery wing attacks of Ligue 1. Yes, both their fullbacks are relatively inconsistent and by PSG's now standard, below average. Yet with the excellent work of Matudi covering their flanks and what has been a solid CB partnership Sakho/Silva-Sakho/Armand, its safe to say Valencia won't trouble them all too much.

Fact is, Valencia is a very poor team. Under an average manager that is Valverde, they are nowhere near the force that they were under Emery. PSG literally are stronger in all compartments.

As for the thread I'll make it today/tomorrow.

the match was enjoyable for so many reasons: good combination of rest and run-out for the stars (Zlatan, Matuidi, et al), ample time for starlets to shine (Marco was awesome), a chance to stake a claim for a Valencia starting spot (looking at you, Jérémy Smile), a warning about what can happen when you assume the result is in the bag and become complacent, and putting a match to bed when such a situation arises Thumbs up ...

I don't want to get too ahead of myself, but I can't not be optimistic about the UCL away leg this midweek ...
