I think Bale has been amazing. Im not quite sure why people are so quick to discredit how good hes been.

Not comparing the players, but it reminds me of how when lebron goes on a tear in the NBA, people come out and say "pffft who cares hes not as good as lebron" sort of mentality.

Win against Arsenal next week and I think CL qualification is very comfy for us, despite our relatively tough run in.

Win against Arsenal AND Liverpool the following week and I don't see a way we could possibly bottle CL qualification.

Next two weeks are make or break for Tottenham.

I heard why Dempsey was out, have we heard anything of why BAE started on the bench other than saving him for the weekend?

Think he was just being rested. Perhaps he wanted someone more defensively adept than BAE out on the left, but that's a debatable point (him being better defensively) and it showed during the game.

Not that Vertonghen isn't good defensively, he's a rock and he's fantastic, but idk if he's a better left back than BAE. I think he was just being rested really, I don't believe BAE is injured or anything.

Shame about Dempsey. Hope he gets back quick.

Vert played over BAE to combat WHU longs balls and set piece threat, we pretty much played with 3 CBS and a RB.

Tactical decision on AVBs part plus it gave caulker some game time
