pfft. they'll drop fast like a falling rock here. the UK gaming market is ridiculous, this generation new games outside of say, COD & FIFA drop £15-20 within 2-4 weeks. Which is good for us.

The only thing I would say is Andy [House] quoted a number last night for pre-orders, in fact he quoted a low end number, he said ‘in excess of.’ What I will say is that the UK represents a significant proportion of that, we’re talking unprecedented levels of pre-orders that we haven’t seen in 20 years in this business.

PS4 will dominate the UK market like the XBOX 360 did this generation. UK market pretty much proved that they don't regard brand loyalty that highly, they'll go with the cheapest option, I'm sure the early XBOX ONE shambles helped, but yeah, I'm expecting PS4 to dominate.

MT pls.....they were the same at beginning of last generation but they soon dropped to the standard of the PS2 era.

You enjoy paying 50 quid until the summer and i'll come in and pick up all the bargain bin games later in the year

Towards the end yeah.... but at the beginning they wasn't.

Tbh 40 has always been the mark its set to.... for example PS1 games were 40 and N64 games were 50 ( some 60 )

The PlayStation UK team is in crucial talks to secure more PS4 consoles, after admitting it had underestimated how popular it would be.

Sources close to the platform holder have told MCV that the current number of units expected in the UK is unlikely to satisfy demand. The machine could be in short supply for up to four months after launch.

not really that fussed, Dark Souls 2 is coming out only for PS3/XBOX in March, easily my most anticipated game next year so if I can't get a PS4 to play until around then I don't really mind. nothing huge coming out anyway. Might buy a couple of PS4's to make a profit off of though.

Driveclub ( the free PS4 launch title that looked pretty good) pushed back until 2014. I'm definitely waiting, a few months, may even wait until the next installment of FIFA, there's really nothing that interests me that launches anytime soon for next gen only.

I dunno I think the COD hype is kind of waning, I'm definitely done with the series, but then I'm out of touch with it's core audience which is like 10-13 year olds

Killzone would be the only game that I'm really liking the look of, but knowing how quick I get bored with FPS I'd quit it in like a month and have nothing to play on PS4. Don't like the Infamous games so it's a little worrying because there doesn't seem to be any major PS4 games until next xmas if they haven't been announced yet.

Need dat new Uncharted by xmas 2014 pls.

I keep telling myself there's no reason to buy a PS4 so soon but I'll probably do it by this xmas lol.

Q1 in Ubisoft's fiscal year which means April-June 2014

COD sales have been gradually getting worse since Black Ops 1.

I don't see that changing.

As for Watch Dogs it wasn't delayed because of GTA.... it was delayed because of AC4.... both are Ubisoft products and they want to get as big as a market share as humanely possible.

That's why they delayed The Crew as well.... no company would sell two games at the same time and take market share from each other.

Its one of the reasons GTA was delayed till September, its published by Take Two and they also publish Bioshock Infinite.... they couldn't have both of them selling at the same time its not smart business sense.

Is no one else here even remotely interested in this game? It's one of the biggest games of the last E3, yet no one here have even mentioned it. Destiny is another hyped up next gen game - doesn't look that interesting, in my opinion.. but it's certainly being hyped up.

I watched that video. Problem is:

1. I'm not a fan of FPS

2. I'm not a fan of horror/zombie games/movies.


It looks good, but its not for me.

Also respect Challenge system instead of tired XP system, all guns are unlocked from the start, maps DLC will be free, and of course, 60fps.

I hate that grind ffs.

It's the only game that really interests me that's announced for PS4, does look really good and the graphics

I just get bored too quick of FPS' so I know this would be no different. Looks better than COD & Battlefield to me though.
