A simple thank you.

Hey all,

Hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful summer we're in the middle of right now and hope each of you are in good health and spirits.

As some of you know, today marks exactly 1 month since the Goal Legacy Forums were established!!

We just wanted to take a few minutes and thank everyone that has followed us from the Goal.com forums as well as the many new faces that have decided to join in on the fun that no doubt one can find here. The understanding and cooperation as well as the invaluable feedback we've received from so many of you has been absolutely critical in insuring that our transition from the previous forums to our current home has been as seamless as possible.

We know that this new board isn't perfect. Trust me, I certainly can attest to it, but considering where we are now in just this 1 month, I would say that we couldn't have hoped for a better turnout than what we've received so far. Our aim was have 600 registered user by this date and I'm pleased to say that not only did we meet that goal, but we smashed it by whopping margin of 60 new users. That's an extraordinary feat for a fledgling forum in just its first month of operation.

Sorry for the length of this post. I originally meant to keep this short, but I suppose I am one for speeches. I'll just wrap this up by saying that there's much much MUCH more to come with the development of these boards. We're certainly not done with tweaking it and attempting to the fix many kinks within it. Please keep posting and asking questions in the Comment section as it's definitely appreciated, welcomed and is simply crucial to making these forums better and better.

i was sometimes a lurker, but i never visited the goal.com forums, so this forums is very nice to share views on the beautiful game of football...

I wish i could have contributed more than i have but work does'nt always allow this but i have tried as much as i can to post when the boss is'nt looking

Anyway i have to thank you and all the admins for all the wonderful work you have done, without it this would'nt have been possible.

only yesterday i was wondering how long this forum has been on, im glad to be one of the people who believed that this community can survive elsewhere and i really feel that is is my (okay our) forum, not just another site i visit

so thank you for the hard work you guys put it

Thank you guys for all the hard work! I like the set-up of this forum a lot better than the original goal.com forums too.

That post was much longer in my mind as I was writing it out. Kept shortening it and lengthening it. Found a happy medium, but it still longer than I wanted it to be.

The 1st year one will be far longer though. This I can say with plenty of certainty.
