Actually yes... it does mean that you bring less physical impact into it if the games don't mean as much.

As far as Bale, he got a late start of the season and has been simply outstanding mostly when we play the 442 or 433. As with all our forwards, he has a hard time in the 4222 or the 4231. Since Carlo has been all over the place tactically, it hasn't been easy for anyone.

Despite that, Bale's numbers are very good. He's started 14 games all comps (6 subs) and has put together 10 goals and 7 assists.... on 50 shots. Been playing good defense too with a lot of hustle.

I was a critic of the deal at the start of the season. But i have to admit, Bale can really ball. He's not selfish, he sees the pitch very well, is smart and plays hard. Honestly, you can't ask for more. Pleasant surprise.

That said, Neymar is far more talented technically. But Bale takes the edge in terms of being more well-rounded and better tactically... scoring instinct is the same for both imo. Different style... but both are very good. I'm not unhappy that we signed Bale over Neymar at this point. Would take either... but, as of today, there is no major gap between the two.

How can Bale be more well-rounded? This is like Messi vs. Ronaldo all over again. Neymar is the better dribbler by far, a better playmaker with better vision (Bale's assists are a product of normal wingplay crosses, Neymar is genuinely playmaking as in passing, playing throughballs, one-twos etc., - he played centrally as a false 9 and excelled)



, a better associative player in general, has more trickery and inventiveness. Bale is a better finisher right now and has the physical advantage. That's it.

Bale's stats are flattering him so far. Majority of his goals he scored in 5-0 victories like Almeria, Galatasaray, Real Betis. Plus that hattrick against Valadolid. Neymar has influenced tighter games. Atletico Madrid in the Supercopa wich gave Barca the trophy, Villarreal 2-1 (1 goal, 1 assist), Espanyol 1-0 (double nutmeg assist), Real Madrid 2-1 (goal and assist).

Also Neymar is only 21, a talent. Hasn't even adapted to Europe yet. Bale is 24, almost the finished product. The gap between the two will only grow in the next 3 years.

first isco was better than nerman, and now bale.just a matter of months until bale secures his position next to isco on the bench

I don't think you guys appreciate how hard it is for other forwards to play with CR7... for them to be effective, they have to be very adaptable and very smart on the pitch. It's very, very hard.

Again, Bale is far more limited than Neymar technically. But as far as reading the game and figuring out how to be effective, he has been extremely good.

Remember also that he maybe played 3-4 times on the right side in his entire career at the Spurs. He was either a LW or AM. At Madrid, he's playing RW and doing it very well... he provides width and crosses very well with his right foot (big surprise for me), he knows how to use his fullback and he cuts in well of course.

Neymar has had the team focus on him mostly since Messi was injured for a long time and he plays his preferred position... despite that, i personally don't prefer one over the other today. I just don't. Neymar has a lot more potential; so that could change in the future. But presently, i actually find Bale playing the role he has to extremely well. Great team player.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but the guy who wrote that is Eduardo Inda. He is the guy who called Guardiola a fascist, who accused Barca of doping and said that people had to go after Messi even if they have to injure him. Oh and he used to be the editor for Marca. Not exactly the most reliable source.

And btw, Barca sent the contracts to the judge, who asked for them and who happens to be a madrid member, and he said that there was no irregularity with the contract.

I read in local web page that Barca could be banned from CL and deducted 22 la liga points if they find irregularities in the Neymar contract. That seams a bit harsh! I agree for banning in CL due to FFP, but why deduct 22 points in la liga? It is not as if a team was paying the refs, or doping. Also, la liga has no FFP. It should be people who run the club who should be legally accounted and perhaps paying the fine if any tax was not payed or such.

Anyway, I do not think that the judge will find irregularities, but if they will, I hope I never see the monkey face near Barca facilities ever again.
