Lol, r9 at 19 was possibly the greatest talent in football history along with el diego but r9 just wins it for me..a striker who could hold his own against any forward at any point in history at any age grade stat-wise at the time and a striker who could also hold his own with any midfielder (till date) when it came to ball wizardry and technique. R9 was a footballing god..though to give credit where its due, nerman is one of the few players who scored a 100
goals as a teenager (against palmeiras in 2012)..along with R9, and pele (those are the one's i remember though as they're very few) and has scored over 200 career goals at 22..he scored it in brazil's warm up game before the world cup. At freaking 22. Wait, this guy won the hors concors award when he became too good for the brazilian league ffs..

Neymar scored his 200th official goal and has made a 101 assists in 333 official matches against eibar aged 22. He also has 9 in 9 matches this season, 8 in 7 league matches (2 as subs) averaging a goal every 62 minutes this season, while having 40 goals and 23 assists in 58 games for national team..scoring 10 goals in 14 competitive games for the NT.

He should leave Barca asap. he will never fulfill his potential playing second fiddle to Messi. he should go somewhere he would be the main man.

i remember reading the same comment with this exact same wording .

I believe that all elite level players, who should be go-to guys, should play on teams built around them and not necessarily with other superstars.

Guys like Ronaldo, Bale, Suarez, Messi, Neymar, etc. I think would all look better playing on different teams as opposed to together. They can still be successful, but I think it's a shame that you don't get to see them each lead teams more. They're all forced to sacrifice space, time on the ball and other things to work with other players of similar talents.

Maybe they don't mind at the end of the day, but yeah, I think it would be cool if they all played on different teams.

@titto. u always make valid points. its just that when it comes to national team, neymar is not just better but leagues better than his closest peers. 59 games, 42 goals and 24 assists. C'mon!!!!! on the other hand, when it comes to comparisons with any other player in the national team, neymar is arguably that best player on the planet at the moment, and its not up for debate..14 competitive games, 10 competitive goals (for those that bring up that stat), won confederations cup (5 games, 4 goals & 2 assists), world cup (5 games, 4 goals & 1 assist), Olympic finalist (5 games, 3 goals & 4 assists) won the U-21 south american championships (7 games, 9 goals & 2 assists) copa america (4 games, & 2 goals)..That's 22 goals in 26 games & 7 assists. Now, that's some classic stuff for a 22 year old..BTW, we talked about building a team around him based on what we've seeing him do with Santos and Brazil (recently), especially "THIS" Brazilian team. Though I get what u mean for the most part, but it doesn't change the truth either, or what do you think?..Anyway, I'm not making any claims here (as I know some will imply), as Messi and Cr7 are still Unarguably the best players in the world today.

i actually agree, as i pointed out he probably does have the best national team record among his peers, its just sometimes we make comparisons where there are too many important variables discounted....that said, his goal run is impressive regardless. i don't think the difficult part isn't scoring so much at 22, or younger, but keeping it up for something like a ten year run, just ask owen....it seems he's also showing that form/brilliance at club level, and i hope that ends soon (he can score a hundred goals for brazil, i have no problem or concerns about that)

How would you compare Nerman to Dinho in terms of their ability etc?

And how is a ronaldinho who had a less ambitious (2003-2005/just before 2005 upwards) barca built around him any better? Factoring their national and their club teams?

shut it lol Ronaldinho at 22 was a world champion, Neymar has only won a libertadores so far. still has a Copa America, CL, liga and copa to be compared to dinho (thats leaving out a WC). Ronaldinho in his peak was playing at Maradona/Pele/Messi level. Not even worth a discussion, Jibs was obviously just talking about their skills

Dinho had much more ability. Main difference between the two is Dinho's passing and playmaking. Just don't see Neymar pulling something like this (@ 1:40):



Dinho always got double digit assists, 23 in his best season. Neymar so far has 3 this season, pretty sure all of them simple short passes within the box. Dinho was also a better dribbler. I think Neymar is more like Cristiano Ronaldo, primarily a goalscorer, but unlike Ronaldo he has sufficient passing and dribbling ability and his flair tricks actually come off and don't look stupid like Cristiano's pointless stepovers on the spot after which he passes sideways because it doesn't get him past defenders.
