ofcourse not. but one thing you can't account for is whether someone can adjust/settle/handle the pressure/change. I don't really know what was told to Cesc, and I am not really sure what his expectations were. It would appear to me, and i could be totally wrong, that there was a discrepancy between what his expectations were at the club, and what the club actually had planned for him.

oh... my mistake. This season, Silva has not been great. Neither has Cesc.

Let me clarify though. At Arsenal, I really enjoyed watching Cesc play. I don't think anyone will dispute that after his transfer to Barca he is half the player he used to be, so saying that David Silva is better than Fab in recent seasons is not such a huge revelation. If you are talking all time, then perhaps your "without a shadow of a doubt" comment holds more water

He doesn't fit into Barca. This doesn't mean he's a shit player out of a sudden, he's just playing in a team not suited to his game.

Fabregas carried Arsenal to numerous CL spots, usually playing alongside top quality players such as Denilson, Nasri and pre-awesome Song. Oh, and Diaby, never forget Diaby.

When has Silva been such a key player?

Silva has certain attributes that can make him more effective in a possession based side than Fabregas.

Fabregas was WC in our possession based system .

He probably was, but I think Silva's better at dribbling, more nifty and slightly more technical than Fabregas is.

Fabregas doesn't really fit Iniesta or Xavi's role.

If i had to pick one overall it would be silva. Not that I'm hating on fab I just think he's better.

I used to really like cesc, I really wish he would go to another team. Not only so he can get more playing time an reach the levels that he was at before, but to put himself in a better light with the world of football at large.

I get the impression that not many people like him anymore.

He should join another team where he's allowed to play in his old role.
