Meh, we won the CL with Silvinho and Yaya in the back 4, at this point it hardly matters who plays back there, we going to let in goals either way.

We had Bosingwa at CB in our Semi's.

It's not the end of the world, over one game. Anything can happen.

Fair enough Laughing

I bet you could do with Silvinho and Yaya right now though.

Adriano is already suspended.
Alba can be easily replaced by Adriano in the 2nd leg.

The only concern should be Pique who will undoubtedly get a yellow in the 1st leg due to his rash sliding tackles. Never really understood why he feels the need to go to ground every damn time.

Going to be difficult regardless. If we dont press, we cant win.

But yeah, Bayern been doing a ton of talking the past years, so here is their chance.

Gomez for all his faults is a great poacher though. He has a knack of popping up and scoring a goal out of nowhere. Happened to us last year Sad

I don't think it'll affect Bayern's overall pressing too much and Mandzukic will be available for the all important second leg.

Any word on Kroos's injury guys?

Not saying he is bad, hes just not the pressuring force Mandzukic is and doesnt exactly bring clinical finishing to the table as a counter balance.

I get what you're saying and I agree, but like I said I felt the same way about him last year and he managed to score a last minute winner. Dude is such a fluke sometimes and I'd rather be lucky than good.

I though Adriano was only on a yellow?

But I agree that Pique is the main guy who should be avoiding a yellow at any cost. Without him Barca have basically zero presence in the air.

Bayern have come a long way since that mauling Barca gave them a few years back.

Elite though they may be, but they still have a monkey on their back that needs to be shaken off. Beating Barca could go quite a ways towards that.

Barca though....how many lives do they have in comps like this? I think they're running out, but might just have enough to see them through this.

With Madz out Barcelona have a chance. Gomez will flop as usual at the biggest moments. Bayern should win it. Hopefully the referee doesn't turn into a refgista and dictate play for Barcelona.

I think Barca will get their away goal at the Allianz. Bayern aren't exactly shutout merchants, as good as their backline has been this season.

Barca are usually good for at least 1 goal. I really doubt that Bayern will keep a clean sheet in either game. It will be a question of how many Barca concede.

Hopefully UEFA doesn't try to help Bayern like Milan or PSG, and we have a fair tie. Can't see Barca beating both Bayern+UEFA.

If Messi shows up, this will be tough.

But I've seen Barca without him against PSG. I was amazingly unimpressed.

Mandzukic missing out to that bullshit yellow is a shame, but TBH while you all talk about Gomez (who I wouldn't discount, still the world's best poacher), I wouldn't put it past Osram to just go and start Pizarro.

And Pizarro doesn't press much less than Mandzukic, while he has superior techinque and finishing.

Handball goal, not penalty given against Pedro.

Do you think Pep will leak info to Bayern? hmm

Will Mourinho finally send his "How to Beat Barca for dummies" tapes? hmm

Pep shooting in his own leg by giving info, I don't think so. He needs to make them better himself, not helping Jupp, or he will be considered a flop.
