David aint going anywhere! The best manager he can learn from is Mou, cos its all about discipline. If he can't get the stuff straight under Mou then I don't think he can anywhere. Also, he is not the most talented CB we have right now, he is the one with the biggest potential. For me Iva is the best CB we have right now, yes im drunk but i practiced to type properly, and this took only 1 min... :coffee:

I believe Mourinho will play Luiz at CB because he has shown glimpses of being very solid under RDM, Mourinho just needs to get the tactics right and get into Luiz's head and he can get the best out of him. Also, If we bring in a De Rossi type player, When Luiz goes forward, De Rossi has the ability to cover him which is another positive.

I personally don't rate Luiz in midfield that highly.

RDM made Bosingwa look solid at CB. Proud

Jose uses similar tactics, I don't see why Luiz can't reproduce that form under Jose.

Ok, if my hunch is correct. Mourinho has been the one the board have wanted for a while, which would mean they have been chasing Schurrle as he seems like a Mourinho signing. This would likely make him a first teamer and would suit a style of play Mourinho would adapt. If we were to play a counter attacking/Direct style, I could see a formation something like this:

When they recieve the ball, it gets played to Mata who sprays the ball to the on rushing attackers.

Of course you can replace De Rossi with another DM and Gomez with Cavani or another CF.

Looks decent and could well be quite effective, only downside. It's counter attacking football.

We were very heavily linked with Schurrle even back to the days of AVB, if I remember right. Mou might be in favour of it, but I don't think he hand-picked him himself.
