The new Barclays Premier League fixtures are due to be released on Wednesday morning.

if lose that match and everyone will start mourning how poor we are and we cant compete with these teams..

Would be such bright start if we win though
even if we were to drop points in opener ,much more tolerable in such games than at home against some scrubs like last season

Stoke. They no longer have their old "manager", so maybe Mark Hughes will try to get them to play the same sport we play this season. And without their horrid bully tactics they have nothing, and with Mark Hughes theyll have less than nothing..and I'd like to see us rip them a new one, day 1 baby.

I would prefer a good first match, so that we have a better understanding of the team capabilities than from the preseason. Would give us room to make late summer squad additions, if necessary.

That is not to say that we should wait only till then to make signings. Early deals, a la Poldi, Cazorla and Giroud would be more than welcome. Especially if they can be done and dusted before the squad jets off halfway around the world.
