Corriere Della Sera report that Juventus are still in 'pole' for Jovetic despite the bad relationship with Fiorentina.

TV deal has nothing to do with this particular transfer.....

You would have a point if he was going to a random scrub but he's going to Spurs who could easily finish top 4 next season with the right signings.

Plus Spurs don't need TV money to afford these types of players.

the difference is higuain is 3 years younger and just signed a new contract last summer.. rvp was 28 going on 29 at the time and only had a year left on his contract so there was pressure to sell.

madrid will sell in the end but there is no pressure at the moment as its just the beginning of the transfer window.

 I like to consider players like Paulinho as new generation players for the reason that current players like pirlo , xavi and etc are older and these are upcoming stars

I was thinking about that too a few days ago with all the big transfers going on.Its like there is a new generation coming up right now with Isco to Madrid,Hazard to Chelsea ,Neymar to Barcelona ,Gotze to Bayern,Thiago to Man U etc while there are many goat players who are probably on their final years.

the 2000's Era GOAT players are on there last legs, Scholes, Owen retiring, Giggs, Del Piero, Totti likely gone after this season, Pirlo, Lampard, Gerrard, Xavi, Ronaldinho, Villa etc etc sorry if i missed anyone of note.....but ya we are seeing a turn over of the next great players right now in football...funny how you get these cycles...Messi, Ronaldo, Rooney, Ibrahimovic, Iniesta holding down the fort while these youngsters become superstars

And i instantly posted another article which had quotes where they deny any interest in Gomez.

Even if the Napoli-Higuain rumors are true,i doubt he'd consider them.

Again, there is little or no resale value for players like Tevez, RVP and Ibra... that's why the price drops so much. Your net cost for the player is most of the purchase fee.

For a younger player like Higuain, you have a probably high resale value in 2-3 years since they will still be in their 20s.

That's why the uber-young stud like Neymar and Bale go for such astronomical numbers.
