Yeah, his fellow compatriot who previously worked with him is going to drop him and never play him.
If he's as good as everyone projects him to be he'll walk into that Bayern side.
He'll get his cameos, which was the same he got in Barcelona really.
Who will he unseat? Schweinsteiger?
Kroos maybe ? Thiago is better IMO.
The German public would eat both Pep and Thiago alive if that happened.

He was the Barca player I like the most and the only besides Messi who I'd take for Madrid. Happy because left Barca, sad because we didn't buy him.

Did he choose Bayern over Utd, or did Utd not offer the same amount of money?
Maybe he just likes getting paid to ride the bench?

Re: #6 - Thiago Alcántara
What doesn't make sense is that he claims he wants more playing time so he can compete to make the Spain squad for the next World Cup. But at Manchester united, he would have been the focal point of the midfield. At Bayern, he's a nobody...he's got INSANE competition there, even more than at Barca. So what gives? Does Guardiola have that much allure?

Re: #6 - Thiago Alcántara
Apparently Pep believed in Thiago more than Moyes did, according to Guillem Balague. Moyes wasn't sure if Thiago's football would work in the EPL. Manchester United were willing to pay the clause.

You guys acting as if Thiago didn't talk to Pep at all, he has assured him he'll play. Some really good players will be available for other clubs because of these pointless signings... not complaining though

Some people put thiago in places he isnt.he is a good player and what not, but people make it look like he really is the new xavi when he hasnt done much in his career other than some great youth euro championships (in which the quality of the opposition is pretty low) and a few good matches with barca but nothing amazing. You guys will be fine without him and tbh i think that this could be a great deal considering he is being sold for 25M

Deluded Barca fans acting as if Thiago was ever going to replace Xavi
Sergi Roberto will play the few minutes Thiago used to play -> Barca will have more money to sign a CB and more if needed -> Buyern get weaker -> Barca win the CL - it's all brilliant I'd say

Did I compare Thiago to any of them? No
How is Bayern as whole getting weaker if they've got more quality depth/players and still have their old guard?
More of the fail logic thrown around. Keep it up, I'm amused

Re: #6 - Thiago Alcántara
Babun looool you're in denial brah
You can only field 11 players in a game, it won't matter how much depth they have when they play in the CL, they can't play all of them in a game without playing atleast ONE player out of position which automatically makes them weaker.
Where will he play anyway? Martinez will have to go back to defence where he's average or Kroos will have to get benched... again weaker however you look at it.
Love the FIFA/Football manager logic where moar players means being better.
I thought you of all people would know better

Best of luck to him. He has joined the best team in the world and will be under the manager who gave him his big break at Barca.
I envy Bayern at this period of time. They are very strong. That depth....wow.
As for us.............just depressing we've missed out yet again on a top talent. We have a bunch of scrubs for negotiators when it comes to bringing in covetted young talents.

Re: #6 - Thiago Alcántara
What you say falls under the term speculation. You may be right or may be wrong ( I think problems will surface just like you think). Case is you wrote "Bayern weaker" instead of "Bayern could get weaker". Götze and Thiago are technically superior to Kroos/Müller and if Robben injures himself like always he'll get a quality sub. They might as well get much stronger than last year. That's also a speculationurbaNRoots wrote:Babun looool you're in denial brah

Agreed. Never thought we would get him. Still praying fr Michael Bradley. Bayern are ridiculous. They are well primed to retain the Champions league. THe best team in Europe by sme distance atm.

They're upset because the majority of them actually believed it would happen. You'd think they would have learnt by now, in the twitter era, not to trust all these bs 'sources'.
Sneijder, Moura, Hazard. Same ish, different
As for Fellaini, keep that thug away from United. Overrated hacker.

Thiago has played a significant amount of minutes each season since he was introduced. More than just a rotation player, more than "the few minutes Thiago used to play". Yes Barca did not meet whatever minutes clause he had, but he still played a lot every season. Sergi Roberto is more than a step down.
Thiago is the closest Xavi replacement around. No, Thiago was never going to replace Xavi. But he would do a damn good job in trying to fill that void. He has put in MotM performances in the midfield for Barca and is 10x the CM Cesc will ever be (Cesc isn't a CM ffs and will never get close to filling the Xavi void like Thiago would have).
Xavi is playing too much. He played too much last year, and the year before, and in the summers in between he played too much. He's getting on his last brilliant legs and it's noticeable. Xavi at his best is still unrivalled but when has he had a break? He hasn't. Thiago SHOULD be here to play more minutes than Xavi. Xavi can play the big games, and should, and should still get many minutes, but Thiago was the player share the minutes with Xavi and take over when he retires, and now he's gone.
Barca now need a great CM to bring in otherwise Xavi will be overplayed and get into injury problems again, and unless a great CM is brought in, Barca are losing an immense amount of quality and will lack depth. Cesc isn't that player and never will be.
Losing Thiago is terrible. And whoever said something about doing well in euro youth tourneys and not much else...Thiago has more than proven himself against the big boys before and we as Barca fans have seen how good he is. That's not at all true.
