Now is not a matter of him starting or not, as he was obviously assured of a place by pep... The issue becomes with the other players, they will most certainly become unsettled... Shaqiri was a bench player last year and didnt bitch about it, I don't think he'll be content with that this year, that's just one example

And thiago played a whole lot of games with barca didn't he? But his issue is basically not playing the important games, so the argument of there are alot of games during the season becomes moot I feel

I'm baffled. Pep said that Thiago is the only player he asked for, called him a "super-player" and people still don't think he will start? He might not at first, has to earn his spot, but I'm sure that between his quality and Pep's tendency to play 8 midfielders he will start a significant amount of games.

even with the amount of midfielders pep plays, or has been known to play it still raises questions in regards to thiago.

because the fact of the matter is they already had a plethora of midfielders, and now they have that plus gotze and thiago without any news of players leaving.

i dont know how its going to work but if i had to guess some of the players that were already unhappy with the playing time last year might be on the way out towards the end of transfer window.
