he isnt experimenting at all tbh this is our squad, we are missing only two players, cazorla and arteta, that not good enough. thats why we need a ST,DM and CB, we will see what happens.

Jenkinson is a good season away from staking a claim for the starting RB slot. Thank heavens Sagna is staying this season. We need to sign some defender(s).

Ramsey played well, but gave away a few fouls which could have been avoided. I don't think we should go into a season with him as the DM. Gustavo ffs AW, please!!!!

lol tbh this is not a wake up call at all, what have we been doing lol? our squad is the same as it was last year, the weaknesses still haven't been solved. Even in asia against uwara reds we could see it. everyone throughout the summer has been pleading for new signings. no way this is a wake up call, we have been awake throughout the whole pre season.
we all knew this game was going to be REALLY BAD, because of the link with higi, the negativity in the stadium was going to terrible. you had the whole fcking summer wenger and you wait till now...

Good match. We were shit, decent, very good and excellent. Mixed match but should tell a lot about the team.

Two goals from set-pieces paper over the cracks, though. I'm content enough with the comeback but the performance on the whole was just terrible. I know it's only pre-season and all but when you see our passing lacking in any sort of tempo and a lack of movement and quality in forward areas you can't help but worry.

Napoli were well organised but this is the sort of thing we'll come up against a lot this season and it doesn't look like we can break them down. We did get a few chances today but the finishing and decision making in general was just so bad. Podolski and Giroud both had shockers.

Both of the goals we conceded were extremely poor from a defensive point of view, too. The first goal is entirely the fault of Jenkinson. He did everything right up until the point when he had to clear it where he made a complete mess of it. The second goal was a combination of two problems: first being that Hamsik made a run behind our midfield and received the ball in tons of space, the second being Mertesacker deciding to try and go with Pandev's run instead of trying to play him offside.

Koscielny was outstanding and I thought Ramsey, Wilshere and Rosicky played fairly well when they were on the ball. Without it, well, let's just say we desperately need Arteta.

We win the cup if we beat Napoli's result tomorrow, so still a chance of silverware, guys.

Hig? Is it me, or did he look fat? The kindest I could be is that he looked...very unfit. I heard he partied pretty hard in Miami to be fair to him.

Higuain was clearly not 100% match fit, like Wilshere wasn't.

decent match.. our first team played good.. we were certainly the better team.. goals came from typical defensive errors.. midfield looked great.. Rosicky and Ramsey were excellent.. Jack very good whenever we got the ball.. but in the frist half we had no organisation without Arteta in midfield.. Kos man of the match for me.. Giroud good.. Metskr and Sagna good.. flops were Jenkinson and Podolski.. so this is basically the same stage when we finished last season.. good game but lacking that extra spark in final third.. all our players keeping their form.. and we can be a title challenging team with 2-3 good additions..
