Alvarez vs Lamela

Inter and Roma new signigns...This thread was inevitable.

I've never seen Alvarez play and only 5 games of Lamela so I can't judge,someone who follows Argie leagues please shed some light on this.

Alvarez is a lot better.

BUT he is also injury prone.

Abundance of raw talent,a bit unnurtured for his age.With proper guidance this guy will be big...But without it he will fail miserably.Been showing improvement game after game though.

People only wanna compare them because they both moved to Italy at the same time but its not really a good comparison seeing as Alvarez is 4 years older than Erik. Alvarez was better in Argentina and is still more mature but for me theres no question Lamela has a brighter future.

It's a fair comparison...Both teams were after both of them,two left footed Argentinian attacking midfielders capable of playing wide.Same price tag for both,one ended up at Inter other one at Roma...Comparison is inevitable.

well that was pretty much my point...they came to Italy at the same time so people want to compare them but I wouldnt say its fair because of the age difference. a better comparison is Lamela and Iturbe. Comparing Alvarez and Lamela is like comparing Giovinco and El Sharaawy.

Despite the age difference they have literally the same amount of games in Argentina because Alvarez bloomed a bit later.Age is not the deciding factor...Giovinco is an established Serie A player while Sharaawy barely has 5 Serie A games so it is very different than that.And the difference is around 3 years,which is neglectable in this particular case TBH...

4 years is not neglectable... by the time Lamela is Alvarezs age he will be a much different payer, the fact that they are close now despite the age difference just shows that Lamela is more gifted.

That's just wrong...Early bloom doesn't = more gift.

Not always but in this case it does...Lamela is the more gifted player and has more potential.
