Marotta: 'Juve have to sell' Empty Marotta: 'Juve have to sell'

Juventus director Beppe Marotta confirms “the squad is too vast,” but insists Milan “haven’t asked for Alessandro Matri.”

The Bianconeri brought in Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente, so Matri and Fabio Quagliarella are on the market.

“We have a valid squad that has won two consecutive titles. We know that we have the quality to go after a third,” Marotta told Sky Sport Italia ahead of their match with Sampdoria.

“The side is competitive in every area, but obviously there is not enough room for everyone. If these players should find another club, we would certainly talk about it.

“Matri is our player and at the moment is with us. Milan? They haven’t asked for Matri, but if they do then we’re open to discussions.

“We are taking part in three competitions and want to do well, but at the moment the squad is too vast. There are still 10 days left before the transfer deadline and we will evaluate the situation with the players, as moves depend on them.”

Quagliarella has been heavily linked with a move abroad to West Ham or Norwich City, while Matri is a target for Everton, Milan and Napoli.
