We got lucky, not sure how good Marseille are this year but I think they are the weakest from pot2.

It's a tough group but I'm really looking forward to playing those sides. Six excellent games in prospect there. The Champions League is all about playing the best sides in Europe, after all.

i am really happy with this group, think we can finish first/second, the teams we are facing are top quality but they are exactly the type of teams we like to face on a European night, except Marseille who are really good defensive.

You can see all the signs the Universe has shown wenger to buy players. Loss to Napoli and Galatasaray, Loss to Aston Villa, injuries piling up. And now putting us into group of death.
With the current team we will be lucky to go to Europa League.

Dortmund has a great counter-attack with fast paced players, Napoli has already beaten us and has the European mastermind Benitez and Marseille is not push-over.

I really fear for Arsenal this time around.

With the current team we will be lucky to go to Europa League.

So you're saying Marseille have a better team and a better chance of finishing third than us, then? They're a good side and won't be easy to beat, but they're still a team we should be beating home and away.

The Emirates Cup was such a disappointment that it was only Galatasaray that beat us.
A lot will depend on our transfer activity during the last few days. I did not say Marseille is a better team, i said they are no push-overs.If we do not strengthen then a fatigued Arsenal side could get turned over by Marseille.

Also I think it would be a Blessing for arsenal to go out of Europe totally rather then going to Europa League. Both Spuds and Liverpool's domestic campaign has suffered due to that European sideshow and i would rather have Arsenal focusing on domestic campaign if we fail to get to the knock stage.

I think 10 points from 6 games would be enough, but have my reservation on whether this squad could get it.

I am happy with the group. No chance in winning the CL so while we're in it we may as well make the best of it and face some interesting opponents, makes a change from being in some boring easy group then watch us inevitably get KO'd when we play a top team. Looking forward to all the group games. Bad side is we can't rest anyone as all the games will be intese and this will affect us a great deal in the league. Oh well, when this squad gets exposed for being ridiculously thin you know who to blame.

Now...could Chelsea get an easier group? They always get it easy in this comp, just compare our's & there routes to the final the last 5 seasons, very suspicious.

Saying "we'll be lucky" implies that our chances are less than the other three sides, which isn't the case when you compare the quality of our squad to Marseille's. Are they a tough side we could slip up against? Of course they are. But nothing about their squad suggests we should need luck to finish above them.

Now...could Chelsea get an easier group? They always get it easy in this comp, just compare our's & there routes to the final the last 5 seasons, very suspicious.

I don't think we're in any position to complain about other teams always getting an easy group, considering our groups the last few years have hardly been difficult.
