I did think it suspicious that the man in charge of making us appear as uninterested as possible to get the best possible price out of the teams we want to buy from would go out and say 'we need to buy.'

I like to think that he's actually thinking that, though. Bendtner basically came out and said he doesn't give a shit today, so you imagine that whatever chance of Wenger continuing to give him another chance has just gone out the window entirely. I wouldn't be surprised if Park was on the bench from now on.

At this point I'm not even bothered if we sign a so-called top striker anymore.

Park looked like he could be bothered vs Chelsea and deserves more of a chance. Anyone with a pulse deserves more of a chance than TGSOAT including Akpom and Park. Sanogo is injured I think.

Hopefully we can get by until January, loan out Park to Wigan, dump Bendtner off at the fire station and sign any decent and capable striker.

The asking price is thought to be £27.5m for France international Benzema, who has played regularly under Carlo Ancelotti this season and scored in Saturday’s 5-1 win against Real Sociedad.

His contract expires in 18 months and his representatives have been sounding out the possible alternatives, well aware that Arsenal’s interest lingers on from the summer. He would demand a salary of £150,000 a week.

Benzema despite playing well right now I believe still has a chance of happening, soon enough Perez will find a new Galactico (be it Falcao, Bitey or someone else).

But not in January, no one's going to sell their main striker in January.
