you merit what you have the leverage to negotiate.RealGunner wrote:I don't know why he thinks he merits £150k p/w lol.
you guys ruined it and now Khedira wants to stay, it's ok, we have an incredible midfield as long as Di Maria stays. but i would have preferred khedira leaving so we could sign a stronger positional player.

You think Bayern would.do a Lahm exchange with us?
He don't do stepovers either, he's just a better football player.

Then happy for him but he doesnt help us now nor does he fit our ball dominant game.

Re: Transfer Saga: Sami Khedira
I've never understood other Real Madrid fans hate for Sami...
I think he's really, really good...
He's not flashy, and fans aren't rushing into the stadium to watch him play or printing his name on the back of their replica shirts, but he's a hell of a good player with his reading of the game and ability to clean up in midfield. He adds balance to the team. Makes very good runs off the ball and creates space for the more attacking players to make runs.
I mean, Jose Mourinho loves him, and so does Joachim Lowe... they can't both be wrong...
He's also a very good personality to have as part of the squad and is incredibly humble.
Given that we have a number of great midfield options, I can tell you now that Sami would prove a hell of a player to have on our bench and I highly doubt he'll complain about it either.
But, like Esteban Cambiasso or Claude Makelele, we'll probably only realize his quality after he's gone.
Because Real Madrid fans are dumb... if a player can't score 3 yard screamers or dribble past 7 players, he must be sh*t, right?

Re: Transfer Saga: Sami Khedira
If Khedira wants his wage demands met, he should see out his contract. I am sure Arsenal will more likely pay him 150k weekly since there is no transfer fee.

Re: Transfer Saga: Sami Khedira
Khedira would be best suited in a 4-3-3 or in a 4-2-3-1 with an AM who drops deep imo.
In terms of Real Madrid, if he wants to stay as backup then that's fine.

Re: Transfer Saga: Sami Khedira
smh some of these comments , again nothing is wrong with khedira he is a great player, and looks awesome in a proper team, the way madrid is setup lacks teamwork and individualisms gets us the wins, khedira is weak if your relying on him to do something special all the time, fix the system khedira will boss, no problem with him staying

Looks to me like Arsenal won't match is wage demands, so he's crawling back to RM.

Very happy
I'm one of the few guys on #TeamSami but like it or not Khedira can offer this team a lot on the pitch and off it.

Use him to get Kroos comfortable with living in Spain, then tell him to GTFO ??

Sami is an asset to Real Madrid man. Hard worker, humble and a no nonsense player who can get the job done.
The man is a champion, you don't tell guys like that to "gtfo". If he does leave it will be on good terms imo.

Yeah he offers "balance" which no one ever seems to actually explain. Balance should mean he adds something that the team and midfield lacks on an overall level, which would be defensive capability, ball circulation and speed. Something Khedira doesn't really offer, he's good at running, and running the right places, in everything else he's fairly average. He's the hipster's choice in a footballer, someone who people can tell is great so they can feel like they are more knowledgeable.

Re: Transfer Saga: Sami Khedira
What's so bad about Khedira? Mind you, I respect Arsenal for not giving into his wage demands, gotta work within your budget folks. But yeah, what's so bad about Sami? He is a good footballer, a proper German workhorse that, at times, may try to over do it, keeps it relatively simple in the midfield.
In any case, if the club does sell Sami, they gotta replace him and I do hope it would be equal or better. None of this "Pablo Garcia" type crap players. We aren't actually stacked in the "defensive minded midfield" department either...

Re: Transfer Saga: Sami Khedira
Damn Freeza, I guess you convinced me. Those scrubs Mourinho, Ancelotti and Lowe were wrong all along ffs
Listen to yourself ffs. Khedira is clearly a good player, he's not Cruyff on the ball but he doesn't have to be because he honestly doesn't have any major weaknesses to his game at all.
His football IQ is off the charts, runs all day, good awareness, strong, fast (not quick though) and in general allows the rest of the team more freedom because he can do the things that others aren't willing to do.
Is he elite? no but he's obviously good and an asset to any team. Coaches like him and he's a natural winner not much else to say.

Re: Transfer Saga: Sami Khedira
Khedira gets way too much hate, sure I don't want him because I'd rather have Pogba/Vidal but the way some people go on about him you'd think hes a pub footballer.
