Spanish media 'pranks' Scolari into admitting he will call up Diego Costa

A group of comedians known as Grupo Risa (Laugh Group) pretended to be Atletico Madrid's president and called Fellipao. They asked him if he would call up Diego Costa for the upcoming friendlies in November and he said that he intends to. Then they asked "In Diego's contract there is a clause that stipulates that I have to pay him 5m euros if he gets called up for the Brazilian national team, so I need to know, will he play in the World Cup?" "Yes, if the WC were tomorrow he would be selected in the final team".

Disgusting. Makes the Daily Mail look like the NYT.

why is it disgusting? they did us all a service and ended the culebron. Besides they are comedians lol

So the fact that they're comedians makes it okay? Since when is impersonating other people ethical? How about that nurse that committed suicide because she leaked information about prince george's birth under false pretenses?

That nurse put the radio hosts through to someone else who leaked the infromation, she personally didnt say anything

Right but my original point was that these 'jokes' have real consequences and can't be brushed off as simply a joke. Of course no one will commit suicide under this, but it is extremely unethical behavior that should be scorned by the public.

I dont understand what the video actually says, but these guys havent called the real Scolari have they? They've called someone whose pretending to be Phil right?

As Tim Vickery from BBC said, i think its pretty unethical to do that, because its not exactly a prank, they are just pretending to be someone to get information out of Scolari.

Its just another shot at Spanish humor if they actually tried to make that funny

I'm pretty sure they can be sued for defamation of character.
