Martínez was injured and has been recovering for the past 2 months from groin surgery. He only came back to training on the 20th of October and since that date, he has appeared in 3 of the past 4 Bayern matches.

I'm not sure if there was a thread like this before, the best I could find when searching with "wrong" was 'I was wrong about this and that player'.


So, tell about things - football related - which you were wrong about. I suppose you can dig out other members' old posts, too, but keep it civilized.


A few of mine to start it off:

- Atletico Madrid. I was convinced it was going to be another season in La Liga where no one could come close to Real Madrid and Barcelona, but top of the table Atletico are after 29 games.

- Brendan Rodgers. Didn't have exactly a convincing start at Liverpool and I thought we could have gotten a better manager, but has been immense this season, both in the way he has us playing and in the way some individuals have blossomed under him, like Sturridge, Sterling and Henderson.

- Mark Hughes
I, for one, thought Stoke were mad to replace Pulis with Hughes, who was coming off a couple of failure of managerial tenures, but has guided Stoke to pretty much as good a league position as you could have expected from them.

Now 15goals/season regularly for the next 2-3 years is more realistic.
