Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
I think Chambo will start, Rosicky aswell. Wilshere on the bench. Great to hear that Arteta is available, and Jack aswell!

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
With the form Wilshere was in, I think we should start him. Although I won't mind Rosicky either.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Think we have a very precarious situation as we play:
Liverpool (A)
United (H)
Liverpool (H)
Bayern (H)
in just ten days. Wonder how Wenger will rotate, some games will have to take priority over others. Do we field a relatively weaker side vs Liverpool at home in the FA Cup to make the most of PL and CL? Or do we risk underestimating United by using that game to rest a few starters (Giroud starting all four would be incredible and draining)
Very curious and nervous to see what happens. How important will Vermaelen, Bendtner, Monreal, Jenko and other second stringers be? And when will they play exactly?

No! We shouldn't take the FA Cup game lightly.
Rather play more or less the same 11 in all of those games. It won't be impossible.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
But it will be extremely difficult to maintain. And it would be miraculous to expect the same group of players to make it through unscathed.
Hope Jack, Ox, Rosicky, Arteta, can handle the midfield until we have Ramsey, Flamini and Kim K available again.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
If Wilshere is 100% fit, he obviously starts. But if he's rusty like he is all the time when he comes back from injury then I'd rather start Chambo with Arteta.
Szczesny
Sagna Mertesacker Koscielny Gibbs
Arteta Chamberlain
Rosicky Özil Cazorla
Giroud
Fabianski; Vermaelen, Monreal; Wilshere, Gnabry; Podolski, Bendtner;Sagna Mertesacker Koscielny Gibbs

Giroud

Wenger confirmed today that Rosicky was rested and Bendtner was left out of the squad as he wanted to give Sanogo a chance.

Arsenal crock Ramsey targets Chelsea clash as Gunners midfielder is given green light to step up rehabilitation
Arsene Wenger ruled Ramsey out for a further six weeks but there were private fears he could be out for even longer as Arsenal struggled to find the cause of the thigh problem that has intermittently affected the player for much of the season.
However, fresh scans have given the 23-year-old the all-clear and Arsenal are hopeful he will return to first-team action in a month's time.
Ramsey is now targeting Arsenal's pivotal Premier League trip to Chelsea on March 22 for his return, which would be nearly three months after he last featured for the team.

This is bullshit, poor Ramsey, I hope Wenger does not rush him back and he gets back stronger.

I read 6 weeks somewhere.
Wait for Arsene's confirmation. People said Theo was out for 1 month once

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Great to have Vermaelen back, maybe we could rest one of Koscielny/Mertesacker against Stoke if Vermaelen is fully fit?

Sagna Mertesacker Koscielny Vermaelen more likely. Gibbs, Monreal doubtful.

Walcott Update
“I don’t want to push the injury [now] and not be 100 per cent and then cause other injuries. My main concern is to take things week by week and try not to put a timespan on it.
“I came out of the brace on Tuesday and the crutches are gone, so I am starting to get the walking movement back now. It is amazing because you tend to forget how to walk, it is a bit crazy! It is the only time people will be able to beat me for walking or running!
“It was a nice moment [to come out of the brace]. When you go to the consultant you don’t know what to expect as this is all new to me, but it was great news. The last two days have been good days, I have been walking a bit easier. It’s nearly there now.
“There are always people worse off than you and there’s no point being negative about it. You want to be positive coming in every day, because the time will go quicker.”
