Re: - Il Polpo Paul | Paul Pogba
He's 21 years old and improving considerably every year... Still has a ways to go before he reaches his ceiling. So how has his value peaked? Please explain.

I agree. It's crazy to say his value has peaked.

you're being defensive in the way you're responding to sports .all he's doing is basic rational speculation .
some of you arrogantly believe that guys like vidal and pogba WILL NEVER LEAVE and it's impossible to speculate on transfers with you .
its funny how sports has "sold" Pogba for the whole 2 years he's been with us but you felt the need to overlook that and bend to his claims....
or maybe i don't keep track of what sports has been saying for 2 years ?
i was only commenting on the present discussion and the way you're jumping the guy for simply speculating on a player's future .
teams like juventus don't have the resources nor the sporting insensitives to accommodate young stars in light of the stiff competition from premier league and spanish clubs .
during lyon's heyday , we had daily stories about potential departures . some of them materialized and others didn't . but i don't recall ever getting my panties in a bunch over these stories like some of you did .
" vile crocodile " ? " minion " ?
maybe you should have before feeling the need to blurt support....
if I remember well we weren't going to be able to keep hold of Vidal this summer too according to people like you cos we are Siena, we needed money to balance our books....
also putting Juve and Lyon on the same sentence just shows the goals you came here with
ps: and lest I forget no Juve fan gives a damn if Pogba leaves tomorrow or in the next 10 years, so far as we are getting that 80m+ price a price which ranks among what "top" clubs sell their prized assets for and Lyon won't be seeing in a while....

Re: - Il Polpo Paul | Paul Pogba
You guys gave him 5 mil in wages... that's always been the issue: Wages. If Juve were willing to pay up, he was always willing to stay. Been saying that since day 1.
I also think that Madrid is happy with Kroos/Modric/James and Isco/Illaramendi as backups. The interest had cooled there. Ligue 1 is not a step up for Pogba either... it's sideways. So PSG was really not a great option for him. If he were to leave, it was always La Liga, EPL or Bayern.
THAT SAID, if someone comes out and offers 60+ mil for Pogba, i highly doubt that Juve would refuse. But at least, with an extension, there's no pressure to take less if there was only 1 year left on his contract.

Re: - Il Polpo Paul | Paul Pogba
Nobody has offered anything close to 60 mil and rightly so. Pogba is not a striker. For anyone to consider paying that much money for a midfielder, he needs to be legitimately considered one the best in the world.
Not saying Juve would 100% sell... but i don't see how they could pass up on that kind of of money. The club is losing money(per Juve http://www.juventus.com/juve/en/investor/pubblicazioni/bilancierelazioni)
Not a selling club... but one that can't refuse huge offers.

Maan... juve are not a selling club like milan. You knkw what happened in the summer with vidal of course... so if we are a selling club, we would have sold vidal already for 50m+, cuz we are aware of his injury as well...

Re: - Il Polpo Paul | Paul Pogba
Yeah... you guys wanted 45 mil for Vidal. That's what happened. Nobody was willing to pay that for a player coming off knee troubles who didn't look healthy in the WC.
Like i said, if someone is willing to pay big money, Juve will listen. It's the smart thing to do anyhow. With 60+ mil, you replace Pogba and then some.
Not that i want him to leave mind you. I think the situation at Juve is very good for him. But i can't close my eyes to reality.

If Pogba will become even stronger, juventus can't refuse huge offers.
And juventus now is many distant to club such as Bayern, Real, Barca...
Money for Pogba = other players to grow

Kudos to Juve for paying up for this kid. He's worth it.
His wages start at 9 mil gross (4,5 mil net approx) and go up to 13 mil gross (6,5 mil net approx) in his last year of 2018-2019. There are also bonuses that he can add to that.
That's a lot of money and I didn't think Juve would do it. He's going nowhere with that kind of money as long as Juve are competitive.

Ok sportsczy.
But then... why not out clause?
Maybe the answer is: for not preclude a possible transfer. In a year or two maybe will be one of the greatest midfielders of the world.

Re: - Il Polpo Paul | Paul Pogba
Juve doesn't give exit clauses. But you typically have a gentleman's agreement between the owner and certain players based on parameters. It's pretty common for countries where exit clauses aren't required by rule. They don't want to create a precedent where they would have to give a clause to everyone.... while informally giving that clause when needed on a case-to-case basis.CarloGOAL wrote:Ok sportsczy.

I always mentioned that if Juve paid up, Pogba would prefer to stay... i just didn't believe Juve would step up like that. They matched PSG's wage offer lol.
