Once that Judas Lewandoski goes to Munich, Aubame will be leading the line. Just need to make sure they don't loose Gundoghan

Can't believe HSV actually lost against Braunschweing in their stadium, they had the worst home record in the league...

Great win for Bayern, didn't really even run the second half and won comfortably. However that finish by Martinez
Looking forward to Arsenal

Next stops - first Mainz, then Real auf Schalke ^^
(I said already quite a while ago that I really don't understand all the flak Jens Keller gets ^^)

I didn't think they were all that bad, a draw would have been deserved but Schalke held on.
Schalke are getting hot at the right time and Hunter is back and scoring. Real could see their Germany woes continue.

After Guardiola, Kloppo, and Veh:
Thomas Tuchel is the best manager in the Bundesliga. The Vincenzo Montella of the league.

Don't forget Lucien Favre. BMG might be in a slight form dip, but in general, he is really good.

Not going to argue against that, RWO. Yet I'm naming on who I think are the best four managers in the Bundesliga.
As for Favre, the contract offer was a wonderful initiative as it's the best decision Münchengladbach have made all years.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
IMO it is very difficult to determind "the best" coaches (I'd say it is better to call the German brand "coaches" as they have a different job description from the English type "managers") as there are a bit different basic environments in each team. Pep Guardiola is fantastic in the Bayern set-up of course, just as Jürgen Klopp excels within the possibilities that Dortmund offers him.Arquitescu wrote:Not going to argue against that, RWO. For the smaller teams (with less money, I mean), not only Thomas Tuchel and Armin Veh are excellent, but one has to admire what Christian Streich and Lucien Favre managed to do, too. I think "the" best is rather difficult to tell - it is more "the best for a given set-up" there.
For example, I really doubt even Pep Guardiola would be able to do much with the HSV right now given their board and set-up.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
I'm really excited about Hamburg now. I kind of want them to get relegated for the lulz (and because of rivalry, and because it'd mean derbies next season), but Slomka is a proven saviour of steaming shitpiles, he might actually manage to turn the thing around. He did turn a much worse Hannover squad into a winning side, though, granted, they did have better cohesion and their defense was better all along, but still.
Great coach to get, the one Schalke should've gotten instead of Keller imho. I'll be watching them closely now, interesting things happening.
Also, despite them being utter plastic, I'm kind of warming to Wolfsburg, they're rather fun to watch, I feel like they're playing a honest, direct style of football that I find myself enjoying, and I like the idea of a upper-mid-tier club emerging, that might maybe not really fit into the UCL, but could conceivably win the Europa League.
They're getting where Bremen, Hamburg, and Stuttgart were about 3ish seasons ago. Actually it might be 4 seasons by now, honestly, I'm getting old and past seasons are a blur.
But you catch my drift. Not-quite-UCL-level of squad strength and depth, like Schalke or Neverkusen, we need at least half the league of teams playing at this level to make it interesting again, because otherwise Bayern and Dortmund will be the only ones competing for years to come.
Luckily, sustainable money is injected into the league via the new TV Deal, and I really hope Germany goes deep in Brazil to raise the Bundesliga's international profile. Get us all the merchandising moneys from emerging markets, y'know. Get them Asians and Africans. They can't all be Yahnited supporters.
I'm kind of ranting now because I haven't finished my first cup of coffee yet, but my points are, I hope Schalke, Wolfsburg, BMG, Neverkusen and Dortmund keep strengthening, for the good of the league, and I like Slomka, so I no longer wish doom upon the HSV.

Hamburg derbies would be better in the Bundesliga though.
I'm glad Marwijk got canned, you should've seen his attitude towards Dortmund on Dutch TV.
