Well David Villa has signed an mls contract. Does it matter if they haven't played their first game, because if I remember correctly players don't sign deals with individual teams but with mls. If Villa isn't an mls player yet then when will he be ?... When this season ends? Their first practice, preseason scrimmage?

Vendetta would be correct, he signed a contract with MLS.

I imagine you will see Villa loaned out until MLS moves to the traditional August to May calendar at the start of the 2015 season.

I'm not sure if that matters though. Even when you are loaned out you still belong to the club your contracted with. And it's really not even been confirmed that he will go out on loan. It's still possible that he'll take a few months off after the WC, then play in the A-league with the 10 game guest program, which anyone can do and is non contractual, from what I understand

Plus it's not really even the point. I mean, I just think it's a great accomplishment that mls has been able to sign leading goal scorers of such a diverse number of nations. Who could have imagined that the league would be able to have done that 5-10 years ago ?

Zouma apparently started a career mode on FIFA, he wanted to either be Saint-Etienne because he was in the team or he would be Chelsea and buy himself. So he chose Chelsea, bought himself, played for 2 hours and turned his console off. Then his dad got a call from Mourinho and his dad tells him Mourinho will call him. Then Mourinho calls Zouma and says he has an interesting profile and wants to do what he did with Varane at Real Madrid with him. Zouma said yes. :bow:
