Wow, that was unexpected. I'm also not sure how I feel about a reboot after ten seasons of SG1, five seasons of Atlantis, and two years of Universe. I don't know if I'll just enjoy the ride or my brain will be overly critical of everything.

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
Watched The Amazing Spider-Man 2 the other day.
Good movie.
I always enjoy the fun, silly nature to the Peter Parker and Spider-Man character. So that only leaves it up to the producers and directors to put together a 'watchable' movie. And they did.
Jamie Foxx as Electro was a weak choice though imo. Dane DeHaan on the other though makes a great Harry Osborne, not so sure if he'll ace it though as the Green Goblin in the sequel.
As I said in the first movie, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone is a good combo and they bring the heart to the screen very well.

A plus here is that the it's the original creators who are doing the reboot and not someone completely different. So while the look and feel of it might be upgraded for a new generation. The vision and style of the original will remain probably. That's gotta be a positive. I like it myself.

While that's true, you only have to look as far as Star Wars and Indiana Jones to see how even the original creators can go off the rails after a while.

Indeed and it's Emmerich I worry more about than Devlin in that regard.

Back from X-Men DOFP *****(spoilers below)*******
Thought it was quite brilliant. Very well made film with with a great story, acting and direction. It wasn't as good as TDK movies though and don't agree as it being the best comic book movie but despite that it was fantastic on its own
The only problems I have is that the timeline is inconsistent with the rest of the X men movies. For example changing the events meant Wolverine never even went to Japan. Thankfully they revived Jean and Scott. Told my mate they will do it at some point lol. At least the next movie will have Jean in it.
Also, was not impressed with how they showed Colossus and Bishop. Both are miles stronger than they were showed. Colossus can knock down Juggernaut so why couldn't he lift the sentinels?
The acting as said was great by everyone. Was funny to see Peter Dinklage using American accent. The scene between Xavier and Magneto in the plane was really good. Also the past and future Xaviers 'seeing' each other was nice.
Would give the movie 8.8/10

Damn, always thought he was British. In that case his British accent is incredible in GoT.

The Hunt
First of all, thanks to Freeza for recommending this to me. I always like to watch a good foreign film whenever I have the chance.
It is one of those lead-character-driven movies, where it really is the main actor's job to bring the heart and soul into the movie and people have been hyping up Mads Mikkelson quite a bit so I was interested in seeing how good he is.
He did pretty well, but sometimes I thought he was a bit too stagnant and could've been a bit more engaging and intense in scenes that required it. I know his character is of a pretty practical and down to earth nature, but still, I feel he could've done a bit better.
I liked the plot of the movie. Simple, but at the same time very dramatic. And I especially loved the first hour or so of the movie, however I feel later the director got a bit too rushed and didn't have that great build-up to the final scene which would've been really nice because I liked the final scene.
Overall it is a good movie.
My rating: 7.8/10

Snatch is a must watch. Rock N'Rolla is a bit of a poor version of those two.
Also some fantastic film noirs for anyone interested.

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
El Gunner, the performance from Mads was supposed to be like that, it's the way the average emasculated man in Denmark acts. It's a Pretty good depiction of the Danish society where male kindergarden workers are suspected way worse than women. And when your accused of something like that, standing up for yourself will only lead to people thinking you're guilty. This week in Denmark male kindergarden workers have been forbidden changing the diapers of children in more than 100 institutions, ridiculous discrimination against men going on.
