I remember Megan Fox running in slow motion in Transformers 2, but that is it.

What about evil Transformer being able to turn into a hot girl, just so Michael Bay can get more ass shots Laughing The fact that they don't use that ability more rofl

Seriously... How does Michael Bay get so much love on the internet and general population? I have no idea. He has never made a great movie, he has hit with some good entertaining movies once in a while (The Rock, Bad Boys) But it's been so long since he actually tried to make a good movie. Some places he is even compared to Spielberg of all people, which in my opinion in blasphemous. Spielberg could make mainstream movies with a message and interesting characters, some Bay has not been able to.
The producer of transformers 4 even stated he wanted T4 to be compared to Jaws and Star Wars rofl
Also the most used argument as to why Michael Bay is "so great" is that he makes movies that are "eye candy" and "popcorn flicks". But that's just not any reason to make lazy and under written, if even written at all, movies. Mainstream movies can have a great scripts, great visuals and great characters, and still be enjoyable, which non of the Transformers movies have been for me. You can see X-men: DOFP, CA:WS, Edge of Tomorrow, Godzilla, (Planet of the Apes is getting great reviews) all movies form this year that have been universally praised, while also delivering great acting, visuals and story.
So why is Michael Bay allowed to make exploding crap, and be lauded as a great filmmaker?

Watched Locke yesterday.
Didn't know that it was going to be a solo on screen performance from Tom Hardy, and that was a bit disappointing for me because I like good on-screen human interaction.
The idea though from the writers and director were good. And of course when you have the talent of Hardy pulling it off there's a good chance of it working. The phone calls were legit and you could feel the tension.
A very good thriller of other sorts, but still not enough for me to make it impressive.

Need For Speed
Aaron Paul. Electrifying. Amazing stunts. Amazing racing. Somewhat of a clichèd story but who gives a damn! Better than Fast & Furious.

Personal always favored the first more. I think the most powerful scene in the whole saga was in the second movie (the flashback at the very end of Part II) but as a whole I enjoyed the first one more.

Probably gonna go see Dawn of the Planet of the Apes tonight. I'm hyped. I enjoy the Planet of the Apes movies, and Rise surpassed my expectations. I was expecting a decent movie and it was fairly impressive IMO.

Dawn is getting great reviews too.
