DeviAngel wrote:Report: Conte signed Juve deal
There are rumours swirling around that Antonio Conte has already signed a contract with Juventus until 2018.
According to Tuttosport, the rumour is that the Coach has been in negotiations for several days with President Andrea Agnelli and reached an agreement.
Conte had publicly warned he’d only commit to the club if he received guarantees the squad would be strengthened enough for a Champions League bid.
Juve have already won their third consecutive Scudetto and set a new all-time record for most points in a single Serie A season on 99.
On Sunday against Cagliari they have the opportunity to become the first Italian club to reach triple figures.
Juve will celebrate the title tomorrow evening with an open top bus riding through the streets of Turin.

Last match week today then. Robes has already summed up what to look towards but Milan could also get a EL spot if a miracle is to take place

Supporting Parma for the Europa League spot in all honesty. I'd like to see how Donadoni performs in Europe and I'm more confident about Parma's ability to hold onto their players and at least maintain their current level next season than Torino.

Re: 2013/14 Calcio: The Final Chapter
So Juventus breaks the 100 points gap with the win over Cagliari(102). Amazing achievement by Juventus themselves but not a great achievement for Serie A personally.
Roma pretty much gave up 2 weeks ago and wasn't surprising to see them lose. They finish the season with 85 points which is really good for them. Hopefully they can add more without selling and properly compete with Juve. But worry for them is to manage 3 competitions. It could be a bad season if injuries pile up and they go out of Europe and the race for Scudetto. But let's hope it doesn't happen.
Napoli will finish 3rd regardless. 75 or 78 points. Not bad as well but like Roma, they need to strengthen without selling.
Fiorentina 4th with either 64 or 67 points. Not a bad season.

Fiorentina were plagued with injuries. Two of their 3 star players were barely able to play together at all. Gomez and Rossi.
As for Juve, great season domestically, now we need to focus on getting our average age down a bit, introducing fresh faces and switching to a system better suited for Europe. The core of our team is fantastic, it's the players around that I.E Wingers that need addressing if we're to keep improving.

Re: 2013/14 Calcio: The Final Chapter
Di Natale has scored in a match pratically same goals scored by Muriel in the whole league
193 goals scored in Serie A totally by him... if he doesn't retire , he will reach probably 200+ in Serie A next year
And he has begun to score much from 30 years ... matured later
just Piola , Totti , Nordahl , Meazza , Altafini and Baggio have reached amount 200 in Serie A

Re: 2013/14 Calcio: The Final Chapter
About Inter, I feared to collapse as last year after Lazio-Inter but at least we reached the 5th post trophy, and so coming back in Europe after a year and it avoids us to play the play off in June, awful in World Cup's year.
I hope it will be a good stone of reconstruction, I'd like to see similitaries with Liverpool of Rodgers but we don't have Suarez and Mazzarri isn't Rodgers
Easier to see similitaries with the Napoli of Mazzarri. He took Napoli when it was a mid-table club and he took it to 5th place in first year under him , and then it was a gradual growth.
This is my hope, it is a transition phase and infact if we can admire young players as Icardi and Kovacic we cannot forget that today it will be the last match played with Inter kit by Esteban Cambiasso , Javier Zanetti , Diego Milito and it'd been same thing for Samuel , but he 's injured . Thanks for everyting heroes

Re: 2013/14 Calcio: The Final Chapter
LOLrente's Goal and assist tonight
Marchisio scored with a ridiculous piece of technique. Without a doubt Juventus' best player 2nd half the season and is absolutely thriving in his new role.
Stephan El Shaarawy made half our attack look like punks when he came on 2nd half, 2nd time in a row. No surprise he makes our team look better than what we actually are, we will need his skill and creativity more than anyone next season.

Re: 2013/14 Calcio: The Final Chapter
Amauri' s best match played with Juve kit was against Milan , in that 4-2 with Ranieri as manager
AC Milan killer
Anyway Donadoni has not wanted to talk about his future because it's premature to do it
I wouldn't be surprised to see as new AC Milan manager.

Parma is back to Europe after 10 freaking years, Toro got gifted for a penalty and got done by Cerci, just too beautiful of a drama, lots of people lost their money today.

Re: 2013/14 Calcio: The Final Chapter
How long have you been a Parma fan? Thats pretty cool.
What do you think about your expectations next year? Who do you see staying or leaving with the team? Biabiany? Cassano? Amauri? Hopefully you guys dont turn into another Lazio where you get knocked out in the qualifying rounds.

Re: 2013/14 Calcio: The Final Chapter
Fan since Nevio Scala, witnessed all high and low. The expectation will be low though as much as i'm pumped up about this, 1st time we come back to Europe. Parma is average/ slightly above average now, on the same boat with the likes of Udinese and should be that way.
Our president is realistic and one cheap bastard, rightfully so. Since he took over, we survived from Serie B mostly on has been rejected Amauri, Cassano, Biabia and youngsters who used us as stepping stone Befoldil, Giovinco, Mariga. No one in their prime will come to us, right now there is talk we would swoop up the whole Inter retirement home. As for next season, it all depends on Don, if he leaves, i feel the Cassano and Amauri will not be motivated enough. Don has balls to bench those guys when they causing trouble. Lots of players will leave and arrive, that's just how we are. I just hope we keep our spine, Mirante- Palleta- Aquah - Cassano & Biabia.
I think we overachieved this season due to inconsistency of Serie A but no matter what, with Europe money next year, we will make progress as we always do.

Re: 2013/14 Calcio: The Final Chapter
It's no coincidence that the worst season for Milan in 32 years is also the worst season for Serie A in Europe for some time:
* No teams through to the CL quarter-finals
* Only 1 team got past the CL group stage
* No teams through to the EL final
* No teams through to the CL quarter-finals
* Only 1 team got past the CL group stage
* No teams through to the EL final

I guess Juventus, Roma & Fiorentina will be in group stages while Napoli will be in CL Play-off stage. Do Inter or Parma have to play any qualifications or would they be in group stage of EL!!!
