Re: Chelsea 14/15
I was overwhelmed by life lately and I missed some Chelsea matches but yea, our form since december/january has been way below the scintillating standard set in the first months of this season.
On the bright side we won COC, which is good altho I prefer FA Cup, and our competitors for the title have been even worse than us.
Oh and pls, I'll say it for eternity, but bad defence as a whole =/= bad defenders individually and good defence as a whole =/= good defenders individually. Defending is something that you must do with every player and if a defence is bad 90% of the times is because the defenders are not helped enough and because the coach doesn't set up the team defensively right.
These faces were comfortably regarded as the best back 4 unit in the world until not so long ago

Can't find one of my earlier posts in this thread where I made a prediction on our goal scorers.

Chelsea set to become the most dominant side in Premier League history by breaking record for time at the top:
Chelsea are on course to becoming the most dominant title-winners in Premier League history as they prepare to break the record of most days at the summit of the table in a single season

I like breaking records
Still waiting for Mourinho to give Cech the starts to bag that clean sheet record...

Re: Chelsea 14/15
Nathan Ake has returned to Chelsea, after playing 5 (successful) games at Reading. They wanted to extend his loan but we declined, possible he'll feature if we win the title?
Steve Clarke also have high praise for him. Good signs, tbh.

Re: Chelsea 14/15
No other reason for us to pull him back from Reading, especially when he featured in every game he was available for.

Re: Chelsea 14/15
Well, the Championship season's only got what, 2 games left in it? Can see that being a potential reason. Although you could just as easily say, why not just let him stay for the remaining couple of matches.

Re: Chelsea 14/15
He would have surely played those two games, I suppose one full game with us is better experience than two with them.

That's assuming he will play for us (which he won't).

So why would recall him if we didn't plan on using him?

You'd be foolish to think there's any rhyme or reason to many of the things the club does.

Re: Chelsea 14/15
BS, there is something behind everything we do.
Otherwise the club would be run into the ground

Re: Chelsea 14/15
Ok. Then how about the decision not to loan him in the first place until a month before the season ended?

No, he played last night and as far as I can tell, didn't pick up an injury. He did get MOTM, though.

Re: Chelsea 14/15
Yeah Azpilicueta being the only Chelse defender left out is silly. He and Terry are our best two defenders.

Re: Chelsea 14/15
Jose reportedly gave a few of our big players 4 days off after winning the title.

I've noticed both Willian and Hazard had time off, so I suspect we'll see a few changes to the team, this weekend.
