I actually respect Cesc for doing this. Just shows how loyal and respectful he is to Arsenal. Only thing is, Arsenal fans better prepare from more of the same ish next year, and then the year after..etc.

though admittedly i'm lagging behind on voodoo studies i really don't see how anyone is forcing him to join barcelona

plain and simple, if he wasn't a vagina he would come out and publically state that he wants to stay at arsenal and xavi & co can frak off

however he doesn't want to stay at arsenal so he won't say anything like that, but he respects wenger too much to request a move, taking us back to the initial point about him being a vagina

that is actually quite an interesting theory, but there are a number of Spanish players playing for R. Madrid

the story of the deal breaking down last season was Rosell giving the finger to cesc when he arrived at the club...

regardless, my point isnt that forcing a move away from your club is good, holding this kind of position for so long is deceitful for the fans as far as im concerned. The situation is just dragging, he keeps on hoping for barca to up their offer so he can move. Im sure it's not easy for him, but at some point he has got to make a stand for himself and pick a side for the immediate future.

I, for one, still can't fathom how people can criticise someone for being silent on the matter and just letting the clubs deal with it. It is not Fabregas who is prolonging the saga, but the clubs. Arsenal's insistance on his asking price and Barcelona's insistance not to pay that price and their use of the media to lower that price.

People always complain about clubs "tapping up" players; persuading them to force a move and put his current club in a position where they have to sell. This is not how transfers should be done and nobody likes them being done this way. So when the player in question doesn't force a move and this tactic fails, he gets criticised? I just can't understand it.

That's not the same and you know it. Even fabregas own teammates has admitted that he wants to join barca, while messi himself has said that he will NEVER join real madrid.
