Get off your high horse Real fans

I saw the locked thread over Xavi's statements about Cesc. I understand Arsenal fans being very upset, I would be too. My only question is, do Real fans have any memory at all??? A lot of the comments were from Madrid fans, and they have no right to open there mouth's about this. People respect SAF, so please read below, and Madrid fans please get off your high horse.

Sir Alex Ferguson has accused Real Madrid of lacking morals over their dogged pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo. Barely had the champagne been uncorked after Manchester United's momentous Champions League final triumph over Chelsea than Ronaldo's Old Trafford future was thrown into question.

Both Bernd Schuster, the Real coach, and club president Ramon Calderon have expressed their admiration for the Portugal winger, which has only served to increase Ferguson's annoyance.

"They think they can ride roughshod over everyone but they won't do it with us," Ferguson said. "Real Madrid have no moral issues at all.

"In terms of great clubs, Barcelona have far better morality than Real Madrid will ever have. Do you not think we have had many expressions of interest about our players from big clubs in Europe?

"Real Madrid are not the only club interested in Ronaldo. But the others are not saying so. They don't get into this nonsense."

He has 0 point. When we try to get a player we atleast pay the price they ask not bitch and moan in the medias. The Fabregas saga would be over if you just pay the price asked.

Madrid fans should get off their high horses but that is for another tale. You brought up an interesting and correct fact that Real Madrid did in fact partake in some dirty tactics when trying to sign Cristiano. What you fail to point out is that after Calderon and Mijatovic got chased away, Perez came and there was no negotiating in the press, no players giving tales of how Ronaldo wants to join. Nope, Perez took out a loan and bought Cristiano for the price Man Utd gave.

So the morale of the story, money talks. When Barcelona decides to cut the nonsense and pay Arsenal what they want, then you'll find there would be no need for all this foolishness to take place.

First of all, I don't completely disagree with you. Real's pursuit of Ronaldo in many ways was similar but not as excessive as Barca's cesc. Real were willing to pay whatever was required, not trying to rip anyone off. We didnt tell our players (subjective) to go talk about Ronaldo every day, in fact it was more of the media and Ronaldo himself who countlessly said it was his dream to play for Real. I do think this is similar to Barca's cesc because i think it is the media who many times makes up quotes for players to make someone look bad. You gave Fergie's example, but everyone knows how much of a cry baby he is (still the best, not trying to say otherwise). Fergie is the same guy who said "typical germans", which was a diss to a whole country.

The only difference between Real and Barca is the amount they are willing to pay. Real paid whatever the player was worth, and Barca is negotiation what they think he is worth (nothing wrong with that). I am a real supporter, but both Real and Barca are like spoilt children. I don't bash Barca on the cesc saga, as long as they pay up the money required.

Just because they got rid of the people who did it (they were fired for a totally different issue) doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Real Madrid fans have every right to say what they want to, as long as it doesn't disrespect the rules of this forum - the same way Xavi can talk incessantly about Fabregas every summer.

Besides, Real Madrid fans know too well about Clownderon & co. Hence the name.

Like my first post said, I think people have really short memories. The bad blood was so bad between Real and Man U at the time SAF asked the reporters in the press confrence something along the lines of, "do you think I would do business with those crooks?

I was not an employee of either club, but if SAF, Man U's mouthpiece said these things I'm pretty sure they felt Real was dodgy as you put it.

Fergie has a short temper ... you think if Wenger had the same temper he would not turn around and tell Barcelona to f*ck themselves for their dodgy business in consistently trying to poach Fabregas ?

It was more to do with an old thread that Real fans were contributing in. He's basically saying Real fans don't have moral authority to talk about this issue when the club partook in similar endeavors in a transfer window.
