Arsenal's squad is better than Liverpool's, but football is not won on paper. The manager is by far the most important guy at a football club, and I'm not sure if Wenger has adapted to modern football, 6-3, 6-0, 5-1 implies tactical problems.

I do hope I'm wrong, I would love Liverpool to slip, but remember we sold Ronaldo and bought Valencia and we didn't fall. I know Fergie, but still shows how important the manager is.

Gutted that Evra has all but signed for Juve. Leaves us with an additional problem we have to fix now. would have been great if he stayed that extra year to bed in Shaw and be a mentor for him at the club. But I can understand why he would leave.

He no doubt declined and became a weak point, but whatever he lacked in that sense, he gained in passion for the club, experience and a great personality off the pitch.

Gonna miss the guy.

Vidal's been a dream signing for a while now so if we can pull that off

With the Luke Shaw deal there was a leak of bid, but it went all quiet until his medical (in comparsion to the Lallana deal where there was new information all the time), which makes it seem like it was an accidental leak, maybe from Southampton's side. Herrera deal was dead quiet too.

Was Moyes the one briefing the press, not Woodward? Even the Adidas deal was quiet until about a few days ago.

Could be. Or maybe the club just told Woody to stfu and stop briefing the media? One way or the other, I like the difference in approach we are taking this time.

Last year was a shambles in regards to that. I think maybe the club assessed this problem and decided to change things.

Everything seems speculative now, and even close tied journo's have gotten things wrong (in the past month or so), or seem unaware of our next steps.
