He didn't really do anything in the WC either. Pedro has been more prolific for Barca this season than Palacio at the WC.

 Because of WC we have a Palacio came back as injured, tired and demoralized, he looks like Milito 2013- 2014  (contrarily it was a great luck for Juve Tevez rested 3 months) .  

Besides he got injured in that friendly match before of WC and he played the WC (I mean  the minutes played)  as injured. This worsened his physical situation , infact he was out 2 months after it.
And yes also  demoralized , same thing it's happening to Higuain (still 0  goals in Serie A) this year for example.
If we add all these things to the fact that Palacio is almost 33 ... I don't know how we can score now
