no but those positions were obvious, and it was part of the work the club had done already.

I think he needed to decide whether he would continue with the 3412 or use a more traditional wing based formation. And according to that choice, the set of players you sign is not the same. Now he made a choice, and that's why guys like Cuadrado will come in, and maybe why guys like Di Maria wont fit into his plans no more.

That was done before he arrived lol, he said as much in his first press conference.

you don't leave big moves till the last few weeks. They are after players playing for big clubs. that usually involvs negotiations that are long and tedious. Not like small clubs where you dump cash on them and take their players.

They are about to lose Vermealen to Barca. Any other CB play for clubs that are happy to keep their player unless an exorbit amount of cash surfaces with all these add ons and stuff

When you demand 25-30 M for a guy like Fellaini you are never going to be able to get him off your books. They are deadwoods for a reason. Sell them for cut prices and you might have more suitors

Agree.At best they can get a Cuadrado because teams like Fiorentina cant afford to reject such big sums.
If people believe they'll lure the likes of Vidal and Benatia late in the window when the selling clubs dont have clear replacements lined up themselves,then people are being mistaken here.

there is no replacement for vidal on the market even if you look for one for 3 months lol. besides, how many clubs start negotiating for a deal when gets resolved in late august?

anyway, you signed facundo pereyra for that, and asamoah can play B2B with evra as wing back. oh and the 4th best midfielder will now be the 3rd best, MARCHISIOOO

I'm not suggesting a direct replacement but as i have explained in our section we maybe might try to buy 1 or 2 players for different positions of very good quality and knowing us,it may be a bit of a tedious process.So retaining Vidal becomes a bit of an easier job than shopping in the market late in the window.
