Yep another year fighting for our 4th place trophy. No excitement for another backup. Better than Nogoal just not the world class addition we need to challenge for titles.

Pros: Strong, tall, quick, good on the ball, should suit the way the we play, is an actual CF, is English (always a plus in my eyes)

Cons: dubious finishing ability, too selfless at times, not Cavani or Falcao

He is fast, quick, pacy and has pace to burn.

Along with that, he can hold up the ball better than Drogba. Skillful as Jay Jay Okocha and links up better than Messi.

Finishing is meh but as long as he can score 20 goals in the PL it's fine.

Im my opinion we need a CB more, Wenger said Chambers can play DM after all, but we only have two natural CB's right now. A left sided one aswell as I'm not very confident of Chambers/Mertesacker replacing Koscielny.

Boils down to whether you trust Chambers at DM or CB more.

I wouldn't mind a DM to be 4th choice CB and have Chambers as 3rd choice CB.

Centre back is a position where experience is very important. We've seen already that as composed as Chambers is back there, he has a tendency to go to ground when he shouldn't and can be a bit rash. We've yet to see him when our backs are against the wall, too. That's when things like his communication skills, composure and intelligence are really tested.

So in my view, if I couldn't get both, I'd rather get an experienced centre half and allow Chambers to play DM every now and then, rather than the other way around.

When you leave things so late, though, you lose the right to be picky.

Anyway, 1 hour left. Very unlikely we'll make a defensive signing with no names left to sign after Man City rule out Nastasic leaving (Sky Sports).

Still hoping though.
