Yes strip them all of their wages because the B team dared to play a mediocre yet passable game at the Bernabeu. Rolling Eyes
Like you have no other problems.

What do you expect from players like Borini? And what do you mean, "come down to such a low level"?
You're playing in the CL for the first time in 5 years ?!?

Simon Mignolet (1) has completed more successful dribbles in the Champions League this season than Mesut Özil (0)

The whole of the media in England and Spain (prolly the whole of Europe) are going in on Rodgers. He's exposed himself to the masses abroad to what a fraud he is. 'shamed Liverpool' they're saying Laughing

He tainted whatever little rep he had.

Was it all worth it, Brendon? lol. Not even Moyes conceded defeat against Bayern last season...and there was more at stake in that match than the one they faced yesterday.

LFC players, knowing the result in the Basel game, decide to pass it around at the back and waste time *no cojones*.

Prolly all were tapping each other at the back after the game 'well done lads, we lost 1-0 only. YES!' Rolling Eyes

Rodgers and Liverpool shamed the prem yesterday. No bias from me, honest truth. You wont see a bigger *white flag raised* in a long, long time.

Calm the frak down. The players he chose actually did better MUCH than anything the starting XI would have hoped to have done.

Unlike teams like Madrid, Bayern, Barca we really don't have anyone in the squad outside of Sturrdige who you would call an absolute starter.

Brendan is not a idiot i think, him not fielding some of his key players was more like punition for his starters than him giving them a rest.  His team is performing horrible right now, he had to poke team somehow. Playing vs madrid in the bernabeu is still a very prestigious game for many. Its not like extra rest is going to do anything vs chelsea anyway. He is just trying to poke his players however he can. Just as you could have signed back suarez, fielding prime gerrard and co we would still have whooped you

Can people please explain to me out of the players BR selected, who they think should of played and what formation he should of went with and Why, i would be curious to know the reasoning behind this big shame BR brought onto our club?

Also what tactics would you of went into the game with, if you do well i'll put your name down for selection once we work towards getting BR fired since you guys seem to know the answer to overcoming Madrid with our squad.

Would love to get Dnmac4's view's as he seems to be an expert on this.

Tactics?

How about try to win or draw the game for a change? . Liverpool were passing it between the back and mignolet as if they had a huge lead. Liverpool played not to get mauled. They never played to get a point, not once.

Players? how come championship level players like Borini are allowed to play in this historic tie? Liverpool came with a big white flag, not cool.

Can you answer the question so i can get some insight into your frustrations? What would you of done different? Did you want us to go full out attack on RM? Did you want Balo to start?

Who is to say we didnt go out for a win? The same attack that's been dogshit? the same attack they would of done nothing? so we blamming BR for trying something different and giving other palyers a chance to show who they are? A front three that cost 60 milllion, isn't worthy to start? Please unless BR comes out and says i played our second team(which we didn't) because i rested the other players for Chelsea then you really can't say we played for a loss?

Honestly what's wrong with playing for a Draw against the current champions away? It's about qualifying so if a draw was something that would help us i don't see why not.

Post by halamadrid2 Thu Nov 06, 2014 7:41 am

Forgetting the result of the game I would not have started Manquillo who wasn't very good we played Atleti, I would have played anyone instead of Skrtel, I would have kept Toure since this is a big game and him being the most experienced player in the backline

I would have gone for a 4-2-3-1 to try and outman our midfield with five midfielders and have two outright wingers to protect their fullbacks where we are the strongest. Especially the side where Marcelo plays.

I would've started Can and Henderson in the pivot with Can protecting the backline and Henderson acting as a B2B with that workrate of his. At attacking mid I would've started Coutinho and told him to help defend when you didn't have the ball and create enough chance chances for your striker when you did have the ball

On the left I would have gone with Sterling so that he could cut in and let Moreno runs up and down that wing freely and on the right I would've played Markovic so that he could take advantage of Marcelo mostly attacking wnd being slow to come down. At CF I would've started Balo but subbed in Lambert early in the second half if it didn't work out

The tactics would have been to absorb pressing by keeping a good shape when defending with five midfielders against our four and then hit us on the counter through sterling, coutinho and markovic who are all very fast

Liverpool tried to match us with a 433, if they'd been in good form I would not have had a problem with it but since they were in awful form I would've expected Rodgers to have made adjustments

No one to replace Skrtel bar Lovern, so that's a no go. Manquillo or Johnson makes no difference to me, people can just claim Johnson as our starting RB to add weight to their we threw the towel in argument.

Can and Hendo i agree with, i think Rodgers wanted a solid middle hence why he opted with Lucas instead of Cou.

I agree on sterling, but disagree on playing balo as a CF, the same guy who's done nothing there because we know he can't play the lone CF role? The same guy who would of been blasted when he didn't score? So why not give Borini a chance?. Lallana was apparently one of our top attacking targets so not much to defend when his played.

Honestly don't see how people think BR threw the game away, he went in with a real defensive mind sight most likley wanting to get a draw or a really big fluke win, which would of eliminated the aspect of head to head if it came down to it against Basel or ludogorets if we didn't win both games.

Actually I was impressed with the tactics that BR used. Trying to get behind the Opposition line with fast Players, that is what he tried.

People asking for Balo and Hendo to start. I mean really ? Hendo has been off form recently, so I am glad he got benched. Som experts tell here not to Play Ballo as lone CF and den few are suggesting Brendan should have tried that against Madrid. Sterling also is not able to give his best from last 2-3 games or so.

So the bottomline is, any Bullocks from everyone and also from the English media, just to say Brendan did wrong. Anyways, English media is the worst in the history of Football, Keep giving crap News when there is nothing, being on the back of their own Players all the time, they sprout all Kind of garbage.

It's funny if we played who everyone wanted us to play, we probably would of lost 3 or 4 nil and they would of come out and said the same shit about BR, so much clueless bastards honestly.

What have I said that is deemed trolling? Everything I am saying had something to do with the game and it is an issue that everyone has been discussing since the line up Rodgers put out was announced.

I know you can't take it, but just because you can't handle the truth, doesn't mean you should misinterprete it as "trolling".

You'd probably be calling for Rodgers's head if this lineup happened against Chelsea, Everton or any other important EPL side, or even the next two CL matches.
