I refuse to watch American Sniper. I'm not wasting my money on that trash nor am I wasting space on my hard drive for it.

And Freeza pls go. Boyhood was brilliant. People are hating on it because they think it gets a free pass critically for the 12 year shooting but the movie itself is superb.

Concept was fine. Not that much different than Harry Potter tbh just all released at the same time on 1/1000th the budget. The main character bothered me greatly, still can't say a single thing about his personality. It was a great idea with some great nostalgia, but that's about it for me. Some may disagree, but I didn't think it was as special as most critics make it out to be.

American sniper told the perspective from a typical patriot post 9/11. I never really got the sense it was trying to justify the war, it just depicted a story of a character who was mad as hell and went to war (I get some people can't even accept such feelings should have existed and shouldn't be portrayed in film). A fine distinction but personally I didn't feel as if I was being prodded to agree with the guy. Thought the drill scene in particular highlighted the distinction between the psychos and brutes that come to the fore during war and the innocents caught in the crossfire (a Muslim family!)

Anyway, on another note, every now and then I see a film that simply forces me to sound like a snob, there's just no way around it. On this occasion, it's Kingsman: bla bla. Not much more depressing than a spoof that isn't funny apart from a brain dead audiance that thinks it is, when gormless garbage like this is popular its a sure fire indication civilisation is on the verge of collapse  pale

American Sniper was making a psychopath into a hero. Lying about punching governors, sniping innocent people from a dome and then leaving it out making him seem like a hero.

Kingsman not funny and garbage? Laughing

McAgger, yeah love Casino Royale also. Mads Mikkelsen is prob my favourite Bond villain. Even though I might have some Danish bias, I still feel like his villain had so much depth in doing what he did. He was so pressured from the evil side that it made him even more evil. Really a great villain from, imo, the greatest Danish actor of all time.

Also 3 secrent agent movies this year. Kingsman, Man From U.N.C.L.E and Spectre. Loved Kingsman, and can't wait for the others. Guy Ritchie is Matthew Vaughns best friend, which sure can be seen in their similar styles, so I can't wait for his agent film.

Also 4 freaking boxing movies this year, all featuring 4 of my top 10 favourites actors of all time this year.

Southpaw with Jake Gyllenhaal.
Hands of Stone with Robert de Niro.
Creed with Michael B. Jordan.
Bleed For This with Miles Teller.

Still like the blockbuster list of 2016 more than this by a small bit, but the other movies like these of 2015 sound GOAT. So far 2015 is really beginning to look like the best year yet.

It showed him sniping an innocent, that is how the film started. Don't know much about or care much about if he punched a politician though. Yeah, not funny and gargage.

He didn't kill an innocent person in the start. He clearly killed a child with a grenade. And then later on he suddenly "grew a conscience" and decided not to kill a child, so the viewer could have some basis to actually think that awful person was even human.
The story had much more potential to be a horrific tale on PTSD, but his family veto'ed everything resembling the truth. If you want to watch something about the horrific experiences of war, watch Full Metal Jacket. If it's something after the war Taxi Driver is a better choice. This film though, barely touched on the mental aspect of the disease he clearly suffered from.

Agree that it was pretty meh.

Let alone the depicted truth and inspiration or what not about the story of the film, it was ridiculously flat throughout.

Grenade or not it still showed him killing a kid. If there is evidence he killed innocent people unessesarily I will concede the point. As for PTSD, the film showed him slowly going out of his mind, it wasn't an in your face train wreck but it was effective to me how he became more and more disconnected from normal life. It was a slow burner with the pressure gradually increasing.

It's all lined up to bang with a 50 inch dick tbh.

Inarittu who might win the best director Oscar in the next couple of days and if not he has a critically acclaimed film right in his backpocket with Birdman, the Western renaissance like you mentioned, Leo's absence for more than a year and its the only thing he has been working on for this time so his performance ought to be insane, Hardy just has a ton of stuff let's hope that GOAT doesn't set in with fatigue for this one but come The Revenant's release date he would've racked up so many Best Actor Oscar contenders by then that every one will be on the brink of premature ejaculating, but hopefully we'll be holding that jizz in for a grand climax when the credits of Revenant hits us.

Also no humour in Kingsman? The absurdity of the counterpoint musik (kontrapunktisk musik in Danish) was amazing.

That song playing while there was a huuuuuge and violent action scene had me bursting with laughter.
