Loic Remy
Can't find the original thread with the Liverpool medical stuff, but how silly do Liverfools look now?
What a bargain of a squad and versatile player, not playing amazing or anything but definitely doing a role.
Signing scrubs like Balotelli instead, SMH he is probably loving it that Liverpool are so bad now .

Re: Loic Remy
I wouldn't expect him to do amazing considering how low his minutes is tbf.
He showed last season how good he is, this shouldn't be a surprise.

Well he passed a medical for QPR, and he passed a medical for Newcastle, and he passed a medical for Chelsea, only failing one at Liverpool.
So is it more logical to believe the problem is with him, or with your medical department?

The problem is with him, his got a well documented heart defect. We didn't want to take the risk, just because your departments are less risk-averse doesn't make ours a problem.

Meh, I'm fine with us not signing him if our medical guys said it's a risk.

Playing the high-road card to prop up passing on a quality player who'd played 42 Premier League

Re: Loic Remy
“It can't be a medical reason because he (Rémy) never failed a medical, I just can’t believe what I’ve read and heard,” said Redknapp.
He has a big mouth, but also talks a lot of shite so who knows.
Think we pulled out for other reasons though. Probably wages. He's close to 6 digits a year, no? Offering that over 5 years was a massive risk. But then again, knowing Liverpool Lambert's probably on those same wages so who knows.

Re: Loic Remy
Yes he does have a well documented heart defect but the key there is also that it doesn't actually stop him from playing.
It's been like that since his Nice days, it doesn't actually effect his ability to play football. Pretty much every doctor in his career has said that it's not something which needs to be of great concern.

Balo was absolutely risk-free, I suppose!

Not sure what you mean by that, if it is that Balotelli is injured right now, then I'll say that everyone get injured some time, but not everyone have some intrinsic condition that could end their career (like our doctors thought could happen with Remy, I guess).

I didn't mean the medical risk. Balo's history of creating problems in everywhere he goes is well documented. Football-wise Remy would have been more worthy taking the risk.
