Best team in history.... Draws to Sunderland and loses to Newcastle.
Seems legit.

Agree with Mole. Pellegrini wins the league in his first year, now qualified for knock outs for the second time in a row, something City never managed.
But it's apparently not enough to be marginally respected by posters on an internet forum.

That may well be the case jibs, but as mole pointed out, there is generally a lot of noise about how this chelsea team is the 'best ever' in the PL history, Fabregas is 'best ever' midfielder in eternity of English football, Hazard is the GOATest attacking player ever, Costa is the BEASTest striker to ever grace English shores, etc etc etc. You only need a cursory glance across GL, and social media in general, to corroborate this.
After a point, it has just become hilarious - it's not the club or their performance that I find funny; it's the fickle, short-sighted, limited-memory fan stereotype
Not a personal attack on any posters in GL. But when pre-teen kids who have only just learnt to spell 'Football' and have been watching the sport for a grand total of (optimistically) 2 years make 'best ever xyz' claims on social media platforms, it's just
It makes a person wanna say 'aww cho cute' before the #fail of the situation blows you away.

Don't agree.
I think Gil knows how to time his runs and dribbles far better, and is much better at pulling off indefensible attacks.

Katy Perry can post with his left hand, right hand and head. He also has 99% typing accuracy. The Admins, Mods and Journalists will certainly vote in his favour during the next GL D'OR.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V5
Fabregas is going to smash the Premier League assist record and will do it with relative ease but will be interesting to see if Diego Costa can break the PL goals record in just his debut season. Tough ask considering he doesn't take penalties & fixture congestion/fatigue/injuries is accounted for.
Needs 15 goals in our remaining 16 games. Just 8 more to beat Torres' record of most goals in a debut season which is the more realistic task.
The fact that this is even a possibility is remarkable considering the entire world outside Chelsea/Atleti fans thought he would flop because he had two bad World Cup games & even more bizarrely because Fernando Torres did.
But yeah amazing duo. Probably only bettered by Bergkamp/Henry and Gerrard/Torres.

Oh come on. Every team has embarrassing results no matter how good. The PL today is much more competitive and even the mid-table and bottom tier teams are dangerous. In theory there are no easy matches and it shows.
This Chelsea team is definitely up there as one of the most complete/best on paper. That doesn't mean they're going to win every single game. All of the best teams of the past have draws/losses.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V5
'Best team on paper this year' and 'Best team in history' are fundamentally different
There's hardly any rational debate on the former expression. The latter, though, is just ridiculous/hilarious/hyped up - take your pick.

Why would they be the best team of anything though yet, even on paper? Let's just wait a season and then see what's up.

That would be typical, preferring quantity over quality.
Not saying she can't get there, but so far Katy is trying to hard imo.
Whereas Gil is a master of the effortlessly disguised agenda drive, he revels in the halfspaces between trolling and defensiveness, and his conjectural long shots are unmatched.

Hard to believe that Man City have now conceded more PL goals than Man Utd this season.
I'ma just leave that there...

tbf, only Soton and Chelsea have conceded fewer. That makes the current top 4. Hardly anything which is hard to believe.
