Khal Drogo wasn't super evil though so if you're basing a gimmick off of it, you'd still probably end up with Reigns either being a face or baby face.

If you want him to go full-on evil, it won't be as the Khal.

Yeh that's mainly the idea. He starts off as evil, turns into a anti hero face. Much better than what he is now.

If you walk out with a warrior suit in this era, you will be laughed at. silvers is right, it aint the 80s no more. Which main event star on the AE had this type of over the top gimmick?

Taker walked out with various different outfits, hoods etc, had masked men and had supernatural powers. Kane same thing. Foley was mentally ill, had the cactus jack/dude love characters and walked around with a sock. HHH occasionally wears something like that at WM. Would work fine if it didn't look over the top.

As noted, The Rock is in Philadelphia and was spotted at the same hotel the the WWE crew is using while they’re in town for tonight’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

Word is that The Rock will indeed be appearing at the Royal Rumble but there’s no confirmation on what he may be doing.

It was noted that Rock will not be facing Rusev at WrestleMania 31. There was some speculation that Rock could be in town to do another angle with Rusev but apparently that’s not the case. WrestleMania 31 matches with John Cena and Brock Lesnar have also rumored for Rock in the past year so it will be interesting to see how he’s used, if he’s used at all.

There was some speculation about WWE using former ECW guys in tonight’s 30-man Royal Rumble main event but a report came out several weeks ago that the idea had been nixed. The idea was to use former ECW guys to get a big pop from the Philadelphia crowd.

Word now is that we may see an appearance from just one ECW guy instead of several. The feeling is that WWE officials don’t want several ECW guys getting bigger pops than their regular Superstars. There’s also the belief that WWE’s Kevin Dunn doesn’t like ECW and feels it’s not important enough to still be paying tribute to.

Another source has confirmed that Justin Gabriel quit WWE this weekend. There are no other details available yet. We noted earlier in the week that Gabriel was one of the Superstars pulled from the 30-man Royal Rumble match.

There’s a lot of online speculation that Sean “X-Pac” Waltman may be appearing in tonight’s 30-man Royal Rumble main event after he made a surprise appearance at Jim Ross’ one-man show in Starland, NJ this weekend. Waltman could at least be backstage visiting at the Rumble since he’s in the area.
