WWE passing up a big opportunity to sell fruity pebble walking sticks.

There has been a lot of talk how WWE portraying John Cena as an “old man veteran” is a bad idea. One person within WWE labeled it as “shockingly bad” as far as a direction for Cena’s character and they couldn’t understand what Cena is thinking going along with it.

The idea is for Cena to be moved into a role similar to how Bruno Sammartino was in the late 1970s where he was really the most popular guy but the focus was put on someone else coming up, Bob Backlund.

One problem with this idea is Cena is a top merchandise seller and his strongest fanbases are young kids and women. Also, Cena is just 37 and can pass for much younger.

I don't want Cena in the spotlight 24/7 but this 'he's a broken old man' angle is stupid and when somebody beats him it takes away some of the momentum. Instead of beating DA CHAMP you're beating a shell of a man

According to the Observer, the plan right now for WrestleMania 31 is Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan, barring another late Vince McMahon change.

The apology Seth Rollins posted on his Twitter after nude photos were posted of himself and Zahra Schreiber was prompted by WWE. Neither Rollins nor Zahra are expected to be punished in any way for what happened.

Apparently WWE is having a low morale problem with talent being unenthusiastic about both booking and promos, as noted by the Observer. Essentially, many of the wrestlers know things are bad but it's the system.

TNA is again attempting to do a talent trade with AAA, though it's unclear if it will happen.

Apparently, Vince Russo and Lucha Underground are in talks to work togethere here soon, according to the latest Observer Newsletter. Some are on board, some are not.

Does anyone else think NXT should be its own brand? HHH even admitted it's geared towards hardcore wrestling fans, so what's the point of it being developmental if it's not teaching superstars the necessary skills to succeed on the main roster?

Look at the main eventers now on NXT. Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Itami, Balor. Most of them are bland and are in need of a persona. But NXT don't care that they're bland, they just care about wrestling.

The only goats on NXT are Sasha Banks and Enzo Amore.

Owens is good on the mic and decent in the ring, but he's got no character to make him stand out.

He's a bit like how Wade Barrett was when he was leading NXT, good mic skills, but other than that bland.
