Wrong thread, RG, B-Mac's Embarrassing Sex Moments vol. 17 is in the off-topic, you should know.
Or if you meant the penalty thing between Mirallas and Baines, they just had a little chat and then Baines just seemed to encourage Mirallas, nothing dramatic about it.

do you think they're just negotiating details with Garde right now and that's why there are no other news, or is even that unknown at this point?

It's not easy to succeed Pardiola. Most candidates probably learned a lesson from the post Alex Ferguson era and are hesitating to take over from another legend of the same caliber.

The only crum of info we have is that Garde was questioned about it on french tv and said " I can't say anything today ".
Which led a lot of people to believe If nothing was happening why not come out and sat so?
In any case I hope it's sorted one way or the other by our next game on the 31st.

are there no local Newscastle papers who have stories about this, no matter how insignificant, every day?
Obviously national news cares more about how Adidas will help get Messi to United in summer, to play along Bale

None of them have a clue lol.
They claim we are speaking to other candidates as well as Garde including a "mystery candidate " or apparently comes with a good rep but yeah....
I haven't seen anything to suggest they know anything.

true, it's the worst kept secret in the managerial community that more or less everyone agrees it's better to be the guy after the guy after Sir Alan Pardew.

seeing that we just played a test match against the 'Qatar All Stars' coached by Michael Laudrup, you have to wonder whether he wouldn't be better off spending his time at Newcastle, even if he swore to not coach small clubs again.

Newcastle should go for a high profile manager. Guys like Spalletti and Heycknes are jobless and worth a try.

Heynckes isn't jobless, he's retired. Maybe he could be persuaded to work again for something like the German national team, but surely not Newcastle lol. What are you smoking.

If I were Newcastle, I'd go for Sean Dyche in the summer

He and Spalletti were just the two names that I could recall when thinking about jobless and high profile manager, didn't know he retired. But yea, they should go for someone like Spalletti or a high profile manager. It's not like PL teams have no money, instead of overpaying 10M for guys like Vanswinkel, overpay them for a top quality manager.

Someone call the government, our jobless statistics are all skewed. All those unemployed 69 year olds are not included ffs.

Why not? PL teams have the money, almost every team has made 10M+ signings so instead of buying guys like Medel, von Vanswinkel for 10M, use those 10M to get a high profile manager.
