Don't care. Just want Spurs to win.
We need to absolutely pummel them in the final and put them back in their place. That'll make me feel better about New Year day.

I'd prefer Sheffield tbh.Blue Barrett wrote:Don't care. Just want Spurs to win.

We can take revenge on Spurs when we'll face them in the league having already won the PL and preparing for a CL semifinal and playing our B-team plays and winning thanks to a Dawson/Lloris/whoever their captain is's slip.

You realize that 5-3 result was the final league meeting with them this season(we beat them 3-0 at the Bridge about 3-4 weeks prior)? Also THE final meeting with them if they don't go through tonight. Can't end the season on that note. Need to meet them again and tie up loose ends.

You should get rid of that cup. Too many games, and then it takes away attention from the FA cup which should be much bigger.
Why does this cup even exist, so that some sponsor can name it every year?

Its a way for the smaller clubs to have another way into Europe.

Well that is the FA cup. Because the FA cup runner up gets into Europe, like Hull.
In the Carling capital cup you have the usual suspects playing in the end, but without really wanting too. It's silly.
Chelsea Liverpool was a great tie, but now they moan why they had to play extra time in a cup they don't give a .. about before an important league game. It's unowrthy. Too many games.

I'm just telling you why the cup is there.
The smaller teams want more opportunities to get into Europe.
Getting into Europe = More money.

I don't think it should go away entirely but I'd be for it just being for teams except the ones in the prem. Would help get lower league teams get the spot light and a better chance at winning something because it's more there for their benefit anyway

I'm sure if you remove the prem teams the TV deal and money associated would take a big hit, making it useless.
