Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V6
You play Spurs just after the NLD?
And like I said earlier, history counts for shizz where Chelsea are concerned. I obviously mean their upcoming game to Aston Villa - a team which we managed to put 5 past, apart from two shots hitting the post and 1 being offside by a whisker, who haven't scored in over 10 hours of PL football.

it'd be SOOOOOOO typical of Lambert's A.Villa to finally score after 10 hours of not-scoring against Chelsea and cause a shock. that's why they will NEVER go down

I don't think they will go down anyway tbh, the bottom 3 are just so horrendously bad. Same reason why I think Palace will stay up.

need to push Everton back to that relegation battle ffs...Pardew bottled it yesterday.
first Bolton though. they rested Heskey/Gudjonsson and captain Spearing yesterday for the Cup match

Bellerin return to Barca?
He'll look at what happened with Cesc's grand return.
He'll look at what happened with just about every other Arsenal player who got to Barca in recent years.
He'll know what's up.

Bellerin isn't Henry level. And he moved about 8 years back, hardly recent
Chum obviously meant Cesc, Song, etc. by 'recent years'.

Cesc is on course to winning the Premier League for the first time in his life. Not that bad a perspective.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V6
OK, so my post was a little banter-y. But honestly there's not even sour grapes.
It's true that some players who've left Arsenal for Barca (or other big clubs) have gone on to win things at those clubs. Ain't even mad. Henry, Cesc, Nasri, RvP, etc.
My point, though, is that the people who've gone from Arsenal to Barca--Henry onward--have tended not to reach the same heights as individual players, with the adoration of fans, as they had at Arsenal. Even Thierry had to adapt his game, and go from being a star & club legend to a high-profile supporting player at Barca. I'm not hating on Barcelona. Obviously they were a ridiculously dominant club during that time, and still are totally elite.
But no Arsenal player has really gone on to Barca and established himself as even greater than he was when he was a Gunner.
Meanwhile, the likes of Hleb and Song and Vermaelen ... not bad players at all, but definitely bad transfers. Barca luring Fabregas from us in 2011 was a bitter pill, but if you think about it, we've gotten some good players from them, and sold them our cast-offs at big prices, so maybe it all evens out.
Anyway. I think we're gonna keep Bellerin for a while.

Fabregas failed because he was unsuited to the team and Xavi and Iniesta where there. Song just isn't that good etc etc and Hleb was benched by world class players.
Not exactly hard for a RB to come in and out perform Montoya

Song was a different level against us compared to the WHU team, He'll move on for sure to a bigger club at the end of the season. (Not comparing with current argument)

Liverpool 4 wins and 2 ties in last 6 matches, and it could be 5 if they didn't bottle it against Leicester at Anfield, they are getting results with a good game too , very deserved victory against Hammers.
Just a curiosity : does LFC fans want still Rodgers out ?
