Yeah, apparently tried to kick Odemwingie out of Loftus Road's car park without getting out of the range rover. Shouldn't be doing that at 67. I'll never forgive Odemwingie this.

Cuadrado will start no doubt. He's as good as Sanchez but will shine less because he's surrounded with better players.Betty La Fea wrote:Can Cuadrado do the seemingly impossible(at least to Schürrle,Mata, and Salah) and finally Bench 1 goal 1 assist Willian?
Willian is not a bad player, he's actually very good on anything besides his end product, he's good in tight spaces, good at driblings, good at setting up a counter and knows when to drop in midfield/flood the center to destabilize the opponent's midfield and defense.
On the other hand Oscar's overall play is pretty meh for an AM, but gets the nod because he scores goals and works very hard in defense. He's basically the brazilian Kevin Nolan. I wouldn't mind give Willy a try as an AM.

Oscar is an average player. Willian is a pretty good AM though despite his piss poor stats.

Wat?
I'm not even going to bother with that.
As long as Cuadrado brings good form, he will, at the very least compete for an AM spot. That is all we need, anything more from him is a bonus.

People's opinions on Oscar
He was pretty poor against City but in alot of matches he's been our best player, people just don't notice him as much though because he's not flashy and full of tricks. The other thing that makes me think of him very highly is that Hazard ALWAYS looks for Oscar to give the ball to, might sound dumb but I think he knows that more often than not Oscar will move things in the right direction.

Oscar works very well with many of our players, links well with Costa, Hazard, Cesc and Willian.
He makes everyone else tick brilliantly.

If you're a hard working player you get labeled as average on GL

Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V6
What can I say. I've not been satisfied with his playmaking aspect of the game, with his vision, with his unpredictability, with his creativity. He leaves too much of the creativity burden to Cesc and Hazard, and he should be our 10, our playmaker, the one who sees the light.
Sure, he scores goals and his workrate is very useful, but that's something you can ask to Kevin Nolan as well. I expect more from Chelsea and Brazil's number 10.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V6
So you expect him to be something he isn't?
He is the player that allows the rest of the team to play well, he is much more vital than you think, he doesn't just have goals and workrate, his game is all about bringing others into play and overloading the area of the pitch he is on, he also covers our wingers and Cesc very effectively.
He is a very smart tactical player, and while he doesn't have Cesc's vision, it's obvious when he isn't playing.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V6
Yes, I expect more from the #10 of Chelsea and Brazil.
I know that he's important to us, he's tactically astute and links the midfield and the attack but he's still limited. Playmaking, creating chances, making enlightning passes is key for an AM, it's the AM's main job and you'd expect that Chelsea's AM and Brazil's AM would be a master in those. He can't just hide from that aspect of the game and leave all the creativity burden to Cesc and Hazard. That's why we struggle when one of them isn't playing or is having an off game.

IMO :
1- Just because Oscar wears n10 for Brazil doens't mean he's a '' playmaker '' . He is very versatile but does not have the playmaking and vision of Cesc or Hazard. that's why the former was brought in. However Oscar offers something else which is extremely valuable for Mourinho. So expecting him to be a type of player he is not is a bit far-fetched.
2- This is not in response to your comment but Cuadrado is not an AM imo. He is not a playmaker or something . He's similar to Willian and I'm wager to see if he's going to score.more in England .

Creativity # Assists and playmaking tho. You can have a very creative player with no end product like Willian or Lucas ( back then ) . Cuadrado/Willian aee 2 good options to have and Chelsea is definitely stronger but Cuadrado still has ro improve his end product.

Willian has no end product, Cuadrado does, therefore, he'll add creativity to us in the final third.
But the rest I agree on.

I'm surprised that people are thinking Cuadrado is not a great signing for Chelsea. He is better than all the attacking midfielders Chelsea have not named Hazard (that includes Oscar, Willian and formerly Schurrle). On the ball especially he offers a huge improvement on the right side which is where I assume he'll be played.
I wouldn't say he's quite as good as Sanchez but it's not as outlandish as people make it out to be.
