So lacking in confidence. A player of his reputation should be converting those chances with ease.

Sorry, but I disagree with all the Falcao bashing. Utd create ONE chance, and if the striker doesn't take it, it's his fault?
All strikers miss chances. You have to create more than one.

Those are the kind of chances £250k-a-week Falcao was brought in to finish.

Except that it isn't this ONE game people are basing their criticism off of. He's been largely useless the entire season.

Hardworking. Lol. Same nonsense I heard for years from Torres fanboys. As if a player is absolved of responsibility for the duties his position requires as long as he runs around alot.

I'm not saying he doesn't need to finish his chances, I'm just saying if a striker misses the ONE opportunity his team creates, blame should not merely be put upon him as the team as a whole is just not creating enough.

I would also add that I think yesterday he played better than Di Maria, van Persie, Januzaj and Rooney.

Agreed. Actually, if the striker gets one chance all game he shouldn't risk trying to score and missing the target/getting their shot saved and then being scapegoat for the loss, but should throw the ball to the corner flag in a form of protest to their teammates's lack of service.

Anyway, I don't think Van Persie and Falcao play particularly well together, although Falcao should have scored from RVP's pass.

Penultimate round if I'm not mistaken hmm

Anyway, said it since day 1 that RvP and Falcao won't fit in the same team, let alone adding Rooney into the mix.

For me it's simple. Play Rooney upfront alone because he is a better finisher than both and play Di Maria on the left. The rest of the team can sort itself out then tbh.

Falcao should get dropped/rotated with RvP tbh.

Rooney RvP
Di Maria
Herrera Carrick
Blind
back4

Way different team. Has balance all over, too. Actually looks like a scary team. Glad they're sticking with 3 at the back though. Proud

we have played a back 4 for weeks now....

try watching sometime

and RVP should be dropped not Falcao

Falcao collects the ball well and holds up play...Van Persie just lumbers about and doesn't press

Rooney-Falcao should be up top

Falcao is finished now but hopefully that doesn't damage his reputation pre-United. He truly was a World Class poacher in his prime.

Injuries, increasing competition/expectations, aging and big money transfers aren't a good mix, especially for strikers who are judged solely on their goals. See Shevchenko and Torres.

I think both of them should be dropped, not just one. Perhaps Falcao is slightly better than van persie, but there are more deserved players on the bench, you cant just play one because an x formation is being deployed. Players should be given the prominence and not a formation.

However you sugar coat it, Falcao should score that every time under normal circumstances

That's not just a 'chance' that's a sitter. That's the sort of thing you'd have moaned at your teammate for missing in year 7 P.E ffs

Lol that team is more imbalanced than the current one. Absolutely no width or dynamism and drive from the midfield.

The best line-up for United doesn't even including Blind TBH.

De Gea
Rafael - Jones - Rojo - Shaw
Herrera - Carrick - Di Maria
Mata
Rooney - Falcao

Meh. Their team is average tbh and their tactics are not well implemented. They will not last in the top 4.

well, fellaini(or mata depending upon the opposition) is playing more as a second striker Where as adnan even if he is deployed wide, will more or less play narrow.
So there aint much difference.
Its just that I am against using more than one cf, if at least one of the striker is not pacey and could not take on players. (Wilson may be in the future).
Moreover apart from rooney no cf deserve to start right now either. Based on purely form, fellani and mata are ahead in the pecking order to both rvp and falcao.
