I don't get this, Berto is a nothing fight tbh but what does taking the fight make him a coward?
Not like he's turned down harder fights and decided to fight him in favour of tougher fights. If he has please enlighten me.

Re: Boxing thread - Part 2
He's taking an easy fight against an average fighter, with nothing going for him in his career just so he can get that 49-0 and retire 'undefeated'.. That makes him a coward in my opinion

Doubt anyone can beat Mayweather, but he should have retired with a good fight tbh.

Well i agree but taking a shit fight, but there's *bleep* all left at this weight which he hasn't already beaten.
Don't see how it makes him a coward tbh, anyway who says it's his last fight lol?

Please, who should he have fought?
Another of these hyped up contenders like Pac-Man and then when he schools him, people like you will complain that it wasn't that challenging? Forgetting the fact that it was people like you who hyped up the scrub in the first place?
Right.

If he was a real nigga he would move up in class and fight GGG
At least fight someone on a hot streak or something

What? Why should he move up to a weight class he has fought 3 fights in during his entire career (one being at a catch-weight with Canelo)?
Name me the big name GGG has put down that makes him this guy who is so feared?
If Floyd moved up and beat him, the complaint would be that GGG has NOT beaten a single relevant name in his career so he was unproven.
Hot streak? Like who? There is not a single guy out there who casual fans (or Mayweather whiners) would not have complained about regardless who he chose.

When has a fighter where gotten heat for moving up in weight to fight a champion with serious knockout power? Things like that are what puts people in the GOAT conversations. He's a great fighter, one of the best all time but he says he's the best ever but doesn't even do things to try and legitimize it
A second fight with Cotto, Khan or Danny Garcia would of been better.. Or even Keith Thurmam

This.
& GGG is defo not unproven, not by a long shot. Him and Sergey have real shots to be the next big 2 superstars in boxing.
But GGG vs Floyd isn't really a fair fight anyways.
Either way Berto is a scrub and this is a horrible fight, but we knew this was happening ever since the name drop him or Mayfield so not really a surprise.
Amir or someone else would have made it more interesting, either way I won't be paying for this shiz

You can't compare Berto to someone like Amir or Keith sometimes and the majority wouldn't have complained like they have with Berto but hey ho he'll get that payday.
Oh and how did I forget my man Kell

Cotto ain't fighting him lol. I definitely think Canelo will though. It's just a matter of when because he's still not fighting at 160, so if it's next year it will probably be at a cw.

Re: Boxing thread - Part 2
Dont agree with that p4p thing.
Pacman still in the top 10
Crawford in the top 10 already? He beat Gamboa and who else? Top 20, maybe.
No Shawn Porter? No Maidana? No Matthysse? No Kell Brook? No Lara?
Cotto too high. Klitschko too high. Abraham? lol
Rigo cant be any lower than 5.

Floyd is done. He doesnt loving boxing any more.
I think I heard him say it 2 or 3 fights ago?
He is in the same stage many fighters are in, where they only fight for the money. Obviously the difference is Floyd is still very good at what he does.

Have you guys heard this shit? http://www.boxingscene.com/mayweather-under-hot-fire-over-usada-iv-scandal--95622
So, now Floyd is a drugs cheat and USADA are helping him cheat by not conducting WADA standard testing (even though they do) and they have been doing this for years upon years.
Everyone is covering it and reporting it (USADA already put out a statement firing back at the claims of their credibility).
